I think it must also be explained that this system is linked with the condition that all the catenary elements must be carefully adjusted for optimal operation between the pantograph and the contact wire suspended by all the necessary elements which must have perfect adjustment in order to keep their roles which is essential, I am talking about the dropper, the messenger, cantiveler, clamp, clip, feeding clamp with dropper, pulleys, stedy arm etc… which will necessarily depend on the counterweight and the average temperature to adjust all the elements of catenary and well heard without forgetting to mention the essential adjustment of the catenary staggering because if the contact wire were always at the center of the pantograph, frictions would break the pantograph breakage.The contact wire is positioned alternately on either side of the axis of the pantograph stagger: ex +_ 20 to 40cm.
