Gaining experience is the key factor of success

Today, I had the chance to attend an exhibition by the Year 10 students in my school on peer pressure, and it left a much deeper impression on me than I expected. As a Year 8 student, I went in thinking it would be about the usual advice on resisting bad influences. But what I learned was so much more—it’s not always about direct pressure. Sometimes, it’s the subtle, quiet moments where we feel the need to change who we are just to belong. It made me realize how often we let unspoken expectations shape our decisions, without even noticing. We adapt, we compromise, and sometimes we lose little pieces of ourselves in the process. It’s a hard truth to face, but it made me think: how often do we act out of a desire to truly be ourselves, and how often are we just trying to fit in? Standing firm in who we are, especially in a world that values conformity, is a lot harder than it sounds. It requires strength, and sometimes a bit of loneliness. But maybe that’s the real test—having the courage to be ourselves when the world, even our friends, push us to be something else. So now I’m asking myself: Who am I, beyond the expectations of those around me? How many of my choices are truly mine, and how many have I made simply to be accepted? *Magic of networking* !!! Two weeks ago, I had attended a friend's birthday bash in Goa, and I found myself immersed in conversations with new acquaintances. As we exchanged tales of our transitions from hometowns to the idyllic shores of Goa, the dialogue naturally gravitated towards our professional endeavors. Without hesitation, I shared my passion for online coaching, particularly in assisting aspiring students in their journey to study abroad.
