AI Day 2023 in HCMC, Vietnam which took place on Dec 5-6th was an outstanding success, thanks the awesome line up of speakers and guests, including Christopher Manning (Stanford), Thang Luong (Google DeepMind), Christopher Cuong T. Nguyen (Aitomatic), Sam Altman (OpenAI) and many others. Apart of from the pleasure to be able to interview Sam Altman (more on that later), I also had a such a blast delivering a keynote during which we managed to bring to the audience a full package of exciting news and development on the topic of "GenAI @VinAI": 1. A recap of VinAI's outstanding AI research output (~150 top-tiered papers, ranking 20th in the list of global AI industrial labs). 2. A live demo of PhởGPT, a SOTA, open-source, 7.5B parameter LLM for Vietnamese. Named after the famous "Phở" beef-noodle, the model was pre-trained from scratch by our research team. #LLM #lowresourceLLM 3. A live demo of Instant Image Generation which could speed up Stable Diffusion by 10x. #InstantImageGen 4.
