Playing with Google NotebookLM has been quite fun. Its ability to turn a document into a natural-sounding podcast is amazing. I'm curious to see how we can use this in creative ways. I started with a discussion about my upcoming book, "To The Hilt: A Sword Swallower's History of Sword Swallowing," co-written by Dan Meyer: https://lnkd.in/egrJmi5S

OK, I get it. LinkedIn is NOT Facebook. So why am I sharing this on LinkedIn? Because through this book Ayn Rand presents her Objectivist philosophy, which is highly relevant to how (and why) we work. For many years, the only book to outsell "Atlas Shrugged" in the USA was The Bible. I enthusiastically recommend both books for working professionals everywhere. If you have more time to listen than to read, I recommend "Audible" for Atlas Shrugged and "The Bible in a Year" podcast (Fr. Mike Schmitz, et. al.) for the Bible.

So...does anyone feel like they need more podcasts? 😅 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁because I had the joy and honor of helping begin another one. The Curious Compassionate #podcast is presented by Picture Book Peeps (a group of picture book authors/illustrators that I'm involved in) and I could not be MORE excited about it. The first 3 podcast episodes are up as well as an intro post on #substack . We created this podcast with one purpose in mind, to grow a kinder world one picture book at a time. Tackling big topics in each episode we highlight books and organizations that are related and can open conversations that are often tough to have with children. Each episode has a curated list of book recommendations. This ^^^^ is one of my favorite parts. I LOVE book recommendations. I love books...so we try to provide a thorough list of related titles as well as organizations where you can go to learn more and find support. We're not just talking about things here. #thecuriouscompassionate is about fueling our inherent curiosity to grow a kinder world for all of us to live in. It's a rather large task 🏋♀️ but we're taking it one picture book at a time. 😉 📚 Linked below is the first full episode with myself and cohost (and author) Roxanne Chester. I hope you enjoy it and if you do, like, comment, share, or subscribe for free (IT WILL ALWAYS BE FREE) so you don't miss another episode. https://lnkd.in/gePWE2_M #kidlit #bookrecommendation #librarian #library #learningresources #liferesources #parenting #teachers #teacherresources #educators #educatorresources #librarianresources #writingcommunity #podcast #bookpodcast #books
