🏗Building a Good Reputation in Construction Industry🏗✨
GOLDBECK is a well-known name in the field of system construction. The company primarily focuses on the realization of logistics and production halls, parking buildings, and offices. It entered our market twenty years ago and has since become the regional company GOLDBECK CEE South, covering Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia. Besides business, GOLDBECK also emphasizes fair relationships with its employees, considering them a top priority and working diligently to maintain them. What can you expect if you join this international company?
Despite being a multinational corporation, GOLDBECK still considers itself a family business. They exclusively accept contracts from private investors. For employees, GOLDBECK is not just a brand; it represents real people they can personally meet and interact with. This approach humanizes GOLDBECK, recognizing that know-how comes primarily from individuals, not just their system products.
The label of a family business doesn’t hinder their adaptation to modern solutions. For instance, they’ve been gradually eliminating paperwork through digitization, easing the burden on colleagues at construction sites. Their ambitious goal is to embrace ecological practices by 2028, not only in administration but also in construction and by transitioning to electric vehicles.
Additionally, GOLDBECK actively collaborates with various startups. They fearlessly explore new technologies within the construction industry, believing that staying ahead of the latest trends will pay off in the coming years. This is GOLDBECK—a family business that has long surpassed its modest goals and continues to grow annually.

I sign the statement in today's #editorial in Finland's largest newspaper Helsingin Sanomat 👨⚖️
In Finland, relatively few wood- and timber-framed apartment buildings (6% of total) are built, despite the abundance of forests and the #forestindustry.
Although the majority of new private houses (85%) and leisure buildings (99%) are structurally made of wood, #concrete is the #predominant material used in the construction of apartment buildings. In other Nordic countries, such as Sweden and Denmark, wood construction is more common and is actively supported by planning #policies and #strategies to promote #sustainable construction. 🤷♂️
Increasing the use of #woodconstruction would have many benefits, such as supporting the forest industry, #export revenues, #taxes, #employment and the #climate benefits in both #carbon storing and sinks. Buildings made of wood materials can also provide better #indoorclimate and increase #comfort.
In Finland, it would make sense to increase the use of wood construction, especially in apartment buildings, where the frames could be made of wood and timber instead of concrete, while both are crucially needed materials. 💪
Are the bottlenecks risk-taking, profit margins, capacity or knowhow? Or are these merely prejudices? 💸

The project aims to identify suitable sites for industrial projects while adhering to the policy of zero net artificialisation. Across France, 55 sites with over 3,300 hectares of land have been identified to enable industrial project holders to gain access to land sites in the short term.
In Eastern France, these sites include
🔹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘅𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗺,
🔹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗽𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗽𝘁-𝗹𝗲-𝗛𝗮𝘂𝘁,
🔹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗭𝗔𝗖 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝘂 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲.
These sites will be made available between 2025 and 2030, subject to studies to be carried out. These sites will also benefit from an acceleration and pre-development scheme, making them ideal for industrial projects.
Moreover,
🔹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻
🔹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗼𝗻-𝗹𝗲𝘀-𝗩𝗼𝘀𝗴𝗲𝘀
will be available between 2025 and 2030. These sites require remediation work to be carried out on the former industrial site of the 19th century before being made available.
Do you have development project in Europe? The "Ready-to-use sites - France 2030" initiative is an excellent opportunity for industrial project holders looking to establish themselves in France and Eastern France is a perfect location for your European expansion. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information!
A second wave of winners is expected to be announced in the coming months, so stay tuned for further updates.

I had the honor of speaking at the recent conference on building a common agenda for Ukraine’s #recovery, organized by the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance on behalf of the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers (UAFM). My speech focused on the crucial recovery projects led by UAFM and the vital role of the business community in these efforts:
My speech https://lnkd.in/dKtFNPNR
1. Practice-Oriented Training: We’ve implemented specialized training programs to rapidly upskill individuals in woodworking equipment operation and furniture design. This initiative has successfully introduced over 200 new employees to our industry, strengthening our workforce during these challenging times.
2. Advocacy and Lobbying: UAFM serves as the voice of our industry, actively participating in a working group on the 'Wood Market' law and lobbying for critical legislative changes, particularly concerning imports to Ukraine. We’ve also partnered with the Export Promotion Office of Ukraine and regularly engage with regulatory bodies like the Ministry of Economy, State Migration Service, State Tax Service, and State Labor Service to address pressing issues.
3. Grant Support: Our organization has been instrumental in securing grants that provide much-needed financial assistance to businesses within the furniture industry.
4. Networking & Matchmaking: We’ve established an online channel with over 500 participants, facilitating the exchange of requests and opportunities. Additionally, we organize professional conferences 3-4 times a year, attracting over 300 participants, as well as lean tours to 3-5 factories, each attended by 50-80 participants.
5. Furniture Business Academy: We’ve launched an academy that has graduated over 300 owners and top managers. The academy has expanded internationally, now welcoming students from Romania and Moldova, further solidifying our industry’s expertise and influence.
6. Export Promotion: Since the beginning of the war, we’ve organized 12 National pavilions, supporting over 200 participants. To optimize resources for our members, we’ve developed a sustainable modular booth system, allowing us to create cost-effective and impactful displays.
Together, these efforts are not only driving the recovery of the furniture industry in Ukraine but also ensuring that our businesses are prepared for a thriving future.
We invite you to collaborate with us on key initiatives shaping Ukraine’s furniture industry:
1. Consultancy: Partner with us to provide expert advice on business strategy, export development, or regulatory matters.
2. Education Courses: Join forces to develop and deliver specialized training programs, from woodworking to business management.
3. Exhibition Booth System: Rent our sustainable modular booth system for a cost-effective and impactful presence at trade shows.
Let’s work together to drive our industry’s recovery and growth!

During our final seminar of The Nordic Networks for Circular Construction project, Hans-Olof Karlsson Hjorth, Boverket, talked about Analysis of barriers and possibilities for Circular Construction.
➡️ A circular construction sector is one in which every part of the process is rethought to include exploiting the value of the materials already present and ensure that the buildings designed and built today can maintain their value, either as buildings, or in their constituent components.
➡️ This report explores the current state of and framework conditions for the development of a circular construction sector, and through consultation with the construction value chain, it identifies barriers and opportunities that could support a more circular approach in the circular construction industry.
