Online therapy is for you if: You live outside a major city centre and you want better choice of services; You are physically challenged and/or can not leave your home; You have a busy work/personal life; You travel frequently for work and would benefit from ongoing support. The most important part of any therapy is the relationship of trust built between the client and therapist. This therapeutic trust allows the client to open up deeply to explore their understanding of themselves, their personal dynamic and their relationship to others so that they can make effect change in their life. Offering online therapy gives people greater choice to find that “right fit” in a therapist. #onlinetherapy #trust #psycotherapy #personalexploration

As a therapist, I consider therapy a scared process because I get the privilege of experiencing parts of my clients that may have been hidden from themselves, too. Uncovering their strengths, patterns they have been struggling with, their flaws, and their desire to become who they want to be is such an honour. Therapy is always a collaborative process, and to see clients put in their best to heal and grow always makes me believe in the invincible nature of human potential. So, for those who wonder if therapy is helpful, I encourage you to speak to a therapist, so you get a chance to experience this safe space as well. #selfgrowth #safespace #therapyisforeveryone # #onlinetherapist #rootinghappiness #innerwork

Why Your Therapist Can’t Be Your Friend – and That’s Okay Therapy can feel a lot like friendship. You open up, share your deepest thoughts, and have someone who truly listens and cares. It’s natural to feel close to your therapist, and sometimes it may seem like we could be friends outside the therapy room. But here’s why we can’t – and why that’s actually a good thing. While we genuinely care about you, our role as therapists is to maintain professional boundaries. These boundaries create a safe, neutral space where your healing and growth come first. Friendships involve shared lives, mutual support, and personal opinions. In therapy, the focus is solely on *you*. By keeping things professional, we can offer you an unbiased, judgment-free zone to explore your feelings, without the complications that friendships sometimes bring. It’s in this space that real progress happens. So while it may feel like we could be friends, remember that staying your therapist allows us to give you the best care possible. . . . #aavegwellbeingandtherapy #clientsessions #canyourtherapistbeyourfriend #therapistboundaries

But seriously, if you're looking for a therapist, your FRIENDS or other social connections are a great place to start. Ask for recommendations from your friends, your church, coworkers, a local facebook group, school, etc. If it feels strange to go to therapy where you know your friend goes, know that your therapist is bound by HIPAA and ethically cannot even disclose to your friend that you are seeing them. #therapy #therapistinpa #therapistpa #greensburgpa #greensburg #westmorelandcounty #alleghenycounty #Pittsburgh #normalizetherapy #selfhelp #selfcare #llc #smallbusiness #privatepractice #takecareofyourself #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #ccts #therapistsofinstagram #mantra #virtualtherapy #gototherapy #healing #traumatherapist #familytherapist #couplestherapist

In therapy, it is essential to embrace the #processofchange and let go of old ways. Learning to #adapt and #evolve is a crucial step towards #personalgrowth and development. By being open to new perspectives and willing to challenge our established beliefs and behaviors, we can create positive changes in our lives. Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment to explore these changes, allowing us to break free from unhealthy patterns of behavior and find healthier ways of living. Embracing change in therapy can be challenging, but it is ultimately a necessary step towards a happier and more fulfilling life. #rhemaloungetherapy #mentalhealthtips #itstimetotalk

When it comes to therapy, clients aren't the only ones learning in their therapy sessions! In fact, clients also become the source for a therapist to learn so many things about human experience and life. In my journey as a therapist I've learnt that : 🌸There is nothing known as a perfect life.Everyone has their own struggles. 🌸You need to meet people where they are and can't push people to be a certain way. 🌸We all want to be seen and understood for who we are and not what the world wants us to be. 🌸Sometimes you need to do things because they are important even if you don't feel like doing them. 🌸Life is indeed too short. We must learn to seize the day and make the most of what we have today. 🌸We all have the power to create shifts in our lives, if we are willing to put in the effort. Trust me, I've seen people transform their lives because they were willing. What have you learnt in your professional journey? Would love to know ! #therapy #therapistlife #lessons #mentalhealth #wellbeing

one thing i've realized as a therapist is that many people don’t fully understand what therapy can offer 🌿. there’s still this misconception that you need to be in crisis to seek help, but that’s not true! therapy isn’t just for tough times — it’s a space to sort through your thoughts, make sense of life, and break free from beliefs that no longer serve you 🌸. not all therapy models are the same, but my approach focuses on seeing the whole person and helping them reach their full potential ✨. it’s a time each week to connect with yourself, to be held, and take exactly what you need, whether you’ve had a rough week or even a great one. there’s no criteria, no crisis needed — my therapy cabin is whatever you need it to be, week by week. curious to know more? drop me an email at spacetotalk@outlook.com and let’s have a chat 💌. don’t forget to save this for later and follow @spacetotalk_counselling 🧠. #therapy #eastleigh #eastleighcounsellor #counselloreastleigh #therapist #spacetotalk #talkingtherapy #therapyworks #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellbeing #emotionalwellbeing #therapyiscool #selfcare #healingjourney #wellnessjourney #innergrowth #selfdiscovery

Some of the first conversations we have when people come to see me are reasons why they might be seeking therapy now, what makes this time different and how do they want to grow. Those that continue to work with me know that I am keen on action in order to activate change and healing. This will come up time and time again so that we can elevate what those goals are and how to take steps towards what they need at this time in their life. **Funny pic included because we can agree that change is hard however not impossible. 😉 #awakecounselling #mentalhealthplan #medicarerebates #emdr #emdrtherapy #emdrtherapist #amhsw #traumahealing #curiosity #connection #approvedcounsellor #act #takeaction

Seeking therapy is a step towards healing and self-discovery, a journey that should be paved with understanding, care, and respect. It's essential to remember: going to therapy should not be traumatizing. Instead, it should be an experience that fosters safety, comfort, and trust. A therapeutic environment needs to be a safe space where emotions, thoughts, and experiences can be shared without fear of judgment or re-traumatization. The role of a therapist is not just to listen, but to provide guidance and support in a way that is empathetic, respectful, and empowering. If you find that therapy sessions leave you feeling more traumatized, it's important to address this with your therapist. A good therapist will welcome your feedback and work with you to adjust their approach. Remember, therapy is a collaborative process, and you have the right to a treatment that feels supportive and beneficial to you. 🔗 To find the right therapist and ensure a positive therapy experience, click the link in our bio. 💬 If you've had to navigate challenges in therapy or have tips on creating a positive therapeutic experience, feel free to share in the comments.
