🌟 Join Our Collaborative Study on LCA of Packaging! 🌟 Plastic packaging offers outstanding benefits in terms of functionality (e.g., lightweight, durability, flexibility, and more). #LCA is currently the most discussed method for assessing the environmental impacts of packaging over the entire life cycle. As more companies rely on comparative LCA studies for decision-making and marketing, criticism of their reliability and validity is growing. Every LCA and comparison is based on assumptions and boundary conditions influenced by decisions made by the LCA practitioner. 📢 Join our collaborative study to learn more about the LCA modeller’s role and choices in LCA. Novices and experts are all welcome! 🔍 Are you an LCA novice or expert? Within the scope of the #KIOptiPack – a project sponsored by the German Ministry #BMBFFraunhofer UMSICHT and QuoData *Quality & Statistics are conducting a collaborative study on LCA. This study aims to involve as many LCA practitioners as possible to investigate the influence of the modeller itself and the modeller's choices on the results. The results will be analyzed scientifically and anonymously to identify the extent and causes of variability. We invite you to participate in a self-experiment: The task is to create a simple LCA model for a fictitious packaging example (all information will be provided). You should make your own decisions, such as the choice of datastes or the handling of multifunctionality while answering a questionnaire provided online. 📧 If you would like to join our collaborative study, please contact me (via Linkedin or via mail: anna.kerps@umsicht.fraunhofer.de until 14 July). You will receive an email with your personal link to the online questionnaire and all further information. On top, you can also benefit from early insights into the study. #LCA #Sustainability #Packaging #Research #KIOptiPack #Collaboration
