Classical music and springtime are an elite combination, which made this video so satisfying to make. 🌸 Social media marketers will understand the effort it takes to create a Reel like this solo. 🤳🏼 Not only does it involve running around different locations with a gimble and testing out multiple angles and pans underneath trees, bushes, and blooms; but it also requires an understanding of the look, feel, and message you're trying to showcase. Andddd smushing all of that thought and content into a Reel that's less than one minute and thirty seconds. My goal was to capture how it feels to listen to our classical radio station, WCLV, in a moment when a certain song rises through and summons the thought, "Oh, this is JUST what I needed," while also inspiring the audience to give back. And after the hours I spent creating it, I can proudly say, "Oh, this is JUST how I wanted it to be." 👉🏼 Keep classical music thriving in NEO by supporting WCLV: https://lnkd.in/gnqKc7Ha #socialmedia #marketing #smm #radio

We are all conforming and slowly losing value in many areas. What are we getting in exchange? How are we advancing as a society? If our values are no longer passed onto the next generation, how can we expect to compete or serve in the next iteration of society? Rick Beato's commentary about the shift in music resonated with me for two reasons: The Economics of Music: There was a time when you had to work hard to earn the chance to hear and own a piece of music. Teenagers used to save up to buy records or wait eagerly for their favorite songs to play on the radio. Now, with streaming services, you can listen to any band for a single monthly fee. While it's easier and cheaper, something valuable has been lost. Devaluation of Music and the Art Form: Beato points out that more songs are uploaded per second now than ever. With everything just a click away, you can go through an entire musician's discography in a day. This ease of access means there's no longer the same sense of anticipation or the shared experience of enjoying music together. This shift raises important questions about how we value art and culture in the digital age. While I appreciate the accessibility and the chance to discover music that may not be available in local stores, I wonder about the true benefit of having so much available at once. I don't have answers, just questions.

Words used to carry a measure of meaning; Focus is one that included a note of nearness. Now, understanding a tone of distance is can make a great difference. A simple note is good; a pair of notes can bring more understanding and a chord can bring power. Separating the chord from the distracting middle notes of a chord will help achieve the goal of music.

Buddha Machine is what happens when you prioritise creating experience over a product. BM plays meditative and calm music on loops in which you increase the volume to change the structure of the tune, offering endless possibilities without any music knowledge. Here is a super short documentary on which the creators Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian, who are heads behind the design, are also the boys group(haha) who made the tune for it It really makes us wonder how the limits are surpassed and how the fringes of the horizon remain unknown; only by switching from creating a product to creating an experience. https://lnkd.in/epzhbchd

Whether we're aware of it or not, many of us spend our days using music to mirror our emotions. We've all made a good day even better by putting on a pop banger, or used a sad song to intensify a serious moping session. But what if we can use music to give our daily routines a gentle boost? It was a real delight to speak to Tara Venkatesan, PhD about the powerful impact music has on just about every part of our mind and bodies, and how we can harness that impact for the better. Check it out at the link in comments! 💫

You have the same music taste as this character. Increasingly: so do I. ___ Partly that's the way of all things. Younger people like more interesting and contemporary media than older people, as a rule. How to arrest, or slow, our slide into irrelevance? Stay open minded, run from the convenient conclusion that the music made when you were younger was somehow better than today's, and listen to this playlist: https://lnkd.in/gZGsJ8X7 Jd'A

My orchestra template contains 60 or more separate instruments and I tend to use at least half of them each time. Every note played by every instrument has to be consciously shaped, with overlaid midi performances that determine articulation, expression, and a whole host of other parameters. Consciously shaping your lines is the absolute key to any sort of realism in your virtual instrument adventures. Instrumentalists apply a diverse range of techniques and tonal characteristics to the lines they play to make them appropriate for the time period and culture being represented - you should also do this. If you dont, you will sound generic, shitty, and mass-produced. Character is everything - it is the thing I aspire to the most when I'm creating music with virtual instruments. And I know what makes me difficult (though not impossible) to compete with on that front is that I am so annoyingly picky about something that takes a lot of time and energy to get right. Lots of people can write a line, make it flow, and so on - but not many people are willing to add so much detail that it starts to display some level of actual life. If I have any trade secret, it’s this - there’s no secret, just a ton of very boring and annoying effort. #music #composers #creativity #musicindustry
