🔎 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 is rare stress related fever that develops after surgery and can be quite difficult to diagnose and manage, more so in post-operative fever. A through evaluation is required to rule out other causes before a fever is labelled #psychogenic. #Naproxen, an anti-inflammatory agent, has been shown to be effective in both diagnosing and managing psychogenic #fever and works by inhibiting the pyrogen release from the hypothalamus. 📌 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝘀.
