This morning, Gian Paul delivered an exceptional presentation at breakfast. As a high school World History teacher, Gian is dedicated to improving the lives of his students. A pivotal moment in his life was when he was invited to speak to the NY Giants. His "All In" speech inspired the team to achieve the unthinkable—winning the 2012 Super Bowl. Here are my key points from today's presentation, paraphrased and summarized: 1. Be all in, in life: Your actions matter, especially when no one is watching. 2. Fame is fleeting; greatness is longevity. 3. Always put others first, but also take care of yourself. 4. If you want God to laugh, tell Him your plans. 5. Don't let your atmosphere/situation affect your attitude. 6. The arrogant look for someone to blame; the humble look for solutions. 7. Embrace three virtues: humility, faithfulness, and gratitude. 8. No excuses—live your best, give your best, 100% all in. Show up. Gian Paul's insights were truly inspiring and a reminder of the principles we should strive to embody in our personal and professional lives.

End the Year with a “Past Year Review” (PYR) As the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what we’ve achieved, learned, and experienced. I recently came across a thought-provoking conversation between Tim Ferriss and Dr. Andrew Huberman (linked below), where they discuss the transformative power of a “Past Year Review” (PYR). Unlike traditional New Year’s resolutions, a PYR is about reviewing the past year to intentionally shape the next. It involves: ✨ Identifying what worked: What activities, relationships, or habits brought you joy, fulfillment, or growth? ✨ Acknowledging what didn’t: What drained your energy, created stress, or didn’t align with your values? ✨ Creating focus for the future: Decide what to do more of—and what to let go of. Why is this important? Clarity over chaos: Reviewing the past year helps you cut through the noise and focus on what truly matters. Lessons over losses: Even challenges and setbacks can offer invaluable insights if we reflect on them thoughtfully. Action over intention: The PYR ensures that your goals and habits for the coming year are grounded in reality, not just wishful thinking. Tim Ferriss calls the PYR his most valuable annual practice, and it’s easy to see why. It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress and prioritization. As you gear up for 2025, I encourage you to take time for a PYR and use it to shape a more intentional, fulfilling year ahead. 📽️ Check out the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gy-ZgbeQ #PastYearReview #Reflection #GoalSetting #GrowthMindset #TimFerriss #AndrewHuberman

It’s a terrific, take it to the top Tuesday to talk about what’s above the fold! If you remember when newspapers hit your doorstep the major headline would always appear above the fold. Today’s headline: Rockstars Illuminate our Industry! Here in Columbia South Carolina we are celebrating Hall of Fame Honorees: Victoria Cowart of Pet Screening and Chris Carter of Carter-Haston Real Estate. Maria Spencer, Director of Federal Legislative Affairs for NAA is emphasizing the importance of our PAC participation. Mark Cukro, of Plus One Consulting is reminding us that 8.8 million skilled workers are in demand. Russ Webb is sharing what’s on the horizon with Artificial Intelligence. Check out Pendant! The icing on the cake was watching Lyla Scott and Mike Holmes speak from the heart about Chris and Victoria. There’s absolutely nothing that compares to celebrating the success of people who have made an IMPACT in your life. (By the way, that was the topic of my keynote) With sold-out attendance, more than 40 of our industry’s most passionate presenters had the opportunity to teach, inspire, engage, and elevate an eager audience. As the opening keynote speaker, I quickly identified some new “baby birds” to add to our flock of winners. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it! Choose wisely. Take time this Tuesday and every day that ends in “y” to examine your “why.”
