✨ I recently caught up with Business Insider about the transformative impact of AI in recruitment. Navigating this exciting era, it’s clear that AI isn’t merely a tool, but a game-changer, reshaping how we operate as recruiters, mostly for the better💪 #FutureOfWork #BusinessInsider
There are deffinatly huge potential benefits of AI in streamlining the hiring process, but I caution against over-reliance. While AI can enhance efficiency and reduce bias, historical cases like Amazon's 2018 incident highlight the risks. Bias in AI tools can persist due to skewed training data, leading to discriminatory decisions. To truly benefit, recruiters must carefully design and train algorithms, monitor and address bias, and foster diversity in development teams. AI should be viewed as an assistant, not a replacement, with clear guidelines and a responsible framework to ensure trust and transparency in recruitment processes. Excited to see where it goes! Good read Annie!

10moInteresting read Annie, thanks for sharing! I completely agree with you and great advice on bias training and data protection. There's still a number of flaws with some of the current uses for AI in recruitment and organisations should be careful which ones they use and how they implement them. Particularly when trying to automate rather than support recruitment functions as there's often variables that AI can't yet account for. Or are victim to the quality of the data used to train them - which as the article states may well be biased in the first place.
