The writers' strike and the streaming platforms' struggle to save money and become profitable lowered the number of scripted TV shows by 24% in 2023. At least some of this is part of streamers' race to the bottom: Increase sub fees, save money, making streamers less attractive to users, leading to less revenue, rinse, repeat. How much of each was a factor in the decline we will only know next year. If you buy advertising- read this! This is a Nielsen report (which has always favored broadcast)- Cable represents almost half of the linear viewing against broadcast! Always remember: focus on your TARGET AUDIENCE- there are so many ways to consume media it is a must! I would love to have a conversation~

Raw Travel aired primarily originals in Season 10 (2022-23). In Season 11 (2023-24, the current season), we mainly air episodes from our 200x-episode ten-season library. One reason for this move is that Raw Travel lacks a reliable (or ethical) streaming partner, so broadcast TV remains our primary and currently only platform. As demonstrated by the slide, Broadcast TV has been good for Raw Travel, but Raw Travel has also been good for Broadcast TV. Raw Travel's library stands the test of time. So far this season, Raw Travel has been up over 1% compared to last season. While 1% may seem small, when you consider that Broadcast TV is down over 5% year to year, this is a +6.3% swing.
