Obesity in children has quadrupled over the past several decades. Scientists are finding that kids with obesity are aging earlier than those without obesity. Thinking about aging at a young age can extend our lives and most of us want to live longer. Stanford Medicine has been studying how creating behavioral programs for children can affect their aging process. One of the recommended improvements is playing more and less screen time which is probably not a surprise to most of us. https://lnkd.in/gzmzq2bh

Watch 3min- Dr Casey Means (Good Energy)! As a health coach, I often get asked: "Why do you focus on weight loss... isn't that just appearances?". No, it is actually the biggest negative health trajectory we are facing today. Thank you @VigilantFox for your share: If you only have 3 minutes to watch Tucker Carlson’s show today, this is the 3 minutes you need to see. https://lnkd.in/eWCTpciU The pharma treadmill is making everyone sick, and you won’t believe how bad it is until you see these stats: • Autism rates in kids are 1 in 36 nationally, compared to 1 in 1500 in the not-so-distant past. • In California, it's even worse: Autism rates are 1 in 22. • 74% of American adults are overweight or obese. • Close to 50% of children are overweight or obese. • 50% of American adults have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. • 30% of teens now have prediabetes. • Infertility is increasing by 1% per year. • Sperm counts are decreasing by 1% per year since the 1970s. • Young adult cancers are up 79%. What's causing all this? It's simple: “Our TOXIC food system and our TOXIC environment.” @CaseyMeansMD explains: “The thing that people need to understand is that all of these conditions are caused or driven by the exact same thing, which is metabolic dysfunction. This core foundational issue of how our bodies on the cellular level function, which is driven by our toxic food system and our toxic environment. “These subtle, insidious forces that are creating slow progressive illness, starting now in fetal life, that allow patients to be profitable and on the pharma treadmill for their entire lives. They make us sick, but they don't kill us. And then we are drugged for life.” https://lnkd.in/eWCTpciU

Do you recall this classic playground comeback: "I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you." Next time you're tempted to disparage older people, consider this boomerang effect! (And yes, your elders are the rubber in that analogy.) Dr. Becca Levy of Yale School of Public Health, has conducted extensive research on how our beliefs shape the way we age, and it doesn't bode well for ageists. If you think of older adults as frail and feeble, you might end up being hospitalized for longer stretches and even dying earlier. It's not just bad karma. The hypothesis is that if you expect to decline, you're less likely to take good care of yourself. You may withdraw socially, which will isolate you, and compound aging. And ageists seem to have higher cortisol levels, which can raise cardiovascular risk factors. At Neurotrack, we're in the business of helping providers catch cognitive decline in its earliest stages with our efficient cognitive screenings. This is important because the sooner you catch impairment, the more you can do to slow progression. But don't let our focus mislead you. No matter what test your doctor uses, the majority of older adults will NOT have serious cognitive problems. Normal aging does NOT look like #dementia. October 9th is Ageism Awareness Day. Get an idea of where your beliefs lie by taking Dr. Levy's quick quiz here: https://lnkd.in/gDEZsreB #endageism

What are the hidden risks of prescribed medications on your fertility and long-term health? When I started posting online about my experience with medication harm, I never imagined meeting another Emma who was also going through the same thing, who's the same age, who's also making a film, also a musician, also British and prescribed the benzo abroad. And also prescribed it haphazardly / with a lack of informed consent/duty of care by doctors (for tinnitus!). Our journeys continue to share many parallels - one of which being our thoughts, questions, concerns and hope around our abilities to have children, as a result of this medication-injury. In this Part 1 clip on YouTube, Emma S and I delve into the critical issues surrounding Benzodiazepine Induced Neurological Dysfunction (BIND) and its implications on fertility. Join our conversation as we explore the challenges and paths to healing. Full disclosure - I had about 3 hours sleep before recording this so not fully "with it" but this is part of this healing journey - with insomnia still being something to tackle. Part 1 - https://lnkd.in/eJ94899t Emma S - https://lnkd.in/eqnr9PcU We plan to continue the discussion over time and would love to hear from women who have been through similar things, and any medical professionals/experts that understand the benzo crisis/fertility and could help shed some light on this. #Health #Wellbeing #Fertility #BIND #HealingJourney #MentalHealthAwareness #womenshealth

So if we work night shifts once a week is this okay?.. I'll also add this could be just staying out waaay too late 3+ nights or more a week... partying, raving, studying intensley for those college exams.. I mean that's what we do when we're young right? I think the key here is to get to know your body. If you already have menstrual irregularities and you work night shifts or stay up late (past midnight) a few nights, 3+ a week with no other known influences on menstruation then maybe consider switching to a day shift to get back to a normal circadian rhythm. Age may also be a factor here. We tend to bounce back easier when we are younger from physical stress, which is what we are creating in the body when we stay up too late (stress!). But that still doesn't mean we should be staying up past midnight on the regular. We may not think of it as stress but the body wants to follow Nature's direction. Awake when the sun is out and asleep when it goes down. When we follow this rhythm our reproductive hormones are properly regulated and our body is able to function optimally. #ivf #hormones #fertility #fertilityjourney #fertilitytreatment #maternalhealth #ttccommunity #reproductivehealth #fertilityawareness #ttcjourney #healthylifestyle #health #holisticfertilitycare #alternativefertilitycare #mother #naturalremedies #ttc #naturalttc #conception #fertilityawareness #miscarraige #nightlife #rave #dance #ballin
