Exploring Fluid Dynamics in Porous Media with ANSYS Fluent 🧽🌊 I recently completed an exciting analysis using ANSYS Fluent to investigate water flow through porous media. This Tutorial involved: Velocity Analysis: Determined the average velocity of water passing through the porous medium, essential for understanding flow dynamics. Volume Fraction Calculation: Analyzed the distribution of water within the porous structure, providing insights into phase interactions. Time Estimation: Calculated the time required for a specified volume of water to traverse the porous media, leveraging flow rate data from the simulation. Using Fluent’s robust CFD tools, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of how water behaves within complex porous systems. This analysis is crucial for applications ranging from groundwater management to filtration processes. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in discussing fluid dynamics, porous media, or ANSYS Fluent simulations! A big thank you to prof. Mehul Bambhania for her invaluable guidance throughout the process. #ANSYSFluent #CFD #FluidDynamics #PorousMedia #Engineering #Simulation #DataAnalysis #msu

In this simulation, I explored the complex fluid dynamics induced by a moving wall within a water tank. Utilizing the dynamic mesh capability of ANSYS Fluent, I captured the real-time interaction between the wall motion and water, providing insights into fluid behavior and surface wave patterns. Dynamic Mesh: Captures the real-time deformation of the mesh as the wall moves. Water Properties: Standard properties for water were used to ensure realistic simulation results. Timestep Control: Fine-tuned to accurately capture the transient effects of the moving wall. Fluid Motion: The dynamic mesh effectively tracked the interaction between the moving wall and the water, showing detailed fluid motion and wave formation. Surface Waves: Observed the generation and propagation of surface waves due to the wall motion. Mixing Efficiency: Analyzed the impact of the wall movement on water mixing, which can be applied to improve industrial mixing processes. #CFD #ANSYSFluent #DynamicMesh #FluidDynamics #EngineeringSimulation #WaterTank #Engineering #Simulation #MechanicalEngineering

⭕ One of the challenges in the design of vacuum chambers is predicting the temperature distribution and the cooling or heating of the chamber. 👉Among other tools we also use Ansys Discovery, an advanced simulation software, to model the entire system. This software allows us to visualise the water flow rates, calculate pressure drops, and optimise the overall chamber design. 👉Thanks to the multiphysics solver, we can combine fluid with thermal simulation in order to visualise the temperature distribution in both the chamber and the water. 👉For more complex geometries, we utilise Ansys Fluent. 👉 This ensures that our customers receive a vacuum chamber that can withstand applied loads and perform at peak efficiency. 👉Thanks to TechSoft Engineering, who assisted us with the implementation. ⭕ We presented the flow simulation and its applications at the recent Ansys 2024 User Conference. Thanks for the invitation. 🤝 #weareStreicher #streichermachinery #machineryengineering #vacuum #vacuumtechnology #vacuumchamber #scubechamber
