QCS 💚 supporting Hector's House! We've held many fundraising events for these guys! They do a superb job in raising suicide awareness, hosting men's clubs, signposting and educating adults and children about this cause, one that is close to my heart. Also, when they attend our events they usually bring Rupert. Nothing is as exciting as a dog in the office!!! 🐶 You can see below how I spend my time when Hector's House come for a visit 👇 If your business doesn't have a charity partner, maybe it's time to consider one (and maybe make it Hector's House). Here are some reasons why... 1 - Boost your employability. 2 - Helps you forge deeper ties within your community. 3 - Fosters a sense of pride and purpose. 4 - Helps inform your values and build your culture. 5 - Can increase sales and enhance brand reputation. 6 - Gives you a competitive advantage. 7 - Eases the burden of tax charges. For more info read the charity's blog post and give the guys a follow. They do important work. https://lnkd.in/euGt7n3d #charity #givingback #charitypartner #fundraising #suicideawareness Sarah O'Brien Karyn Taylor

I am for these groups BUT at the same time…I think all genders should be able to share with each other. I work with everyone, regardless of who they are. Everyone seems the same to me when you meet someone human to human. I realise the need these groups meet (I sometimes suggest them to clients) but I do think we need to do one better as a society. Feeling safe and being safe are two different things. The more we tell men they can only talk to men, the less it tell everyone it isn’t safe to speak to and with other genders. I think that’s problematic. It embeds the existing narrative that contributes to a patriarchal and unequal society. “Men can’t be vulnerable, sit with inadequacy and show perceived” weakness” with “the other”. What to do.
It's great to see that so many guys are accessing support... Thank you so much to everyone who supports us as a charity. Whether that's by sharing our posts, doing fundraisers or volunteering. It all counts and helps towards our goal to #GetMenTalking #mensmentalhealthmatters #menssupportgroup #mentalhealthawareness

Recruiting in the charity sector, I often hear from fundraisers who feel demotivated and burned out. They work tirelessly, often with little recognition for their efforts. As more people leave the sector, it's clear that showing appreciation could go a long way—and it doesn't have to be costly! This article provides examples of practical, low-cost ways to keep teams motivated and valued in challenging times. From something as simple as a heartfelt "thank you" to creative perks like an extra day off, these gestures can make a real difference. Recognising efforts shows our teams that they matter, boosting both morale and loyalty. When resources are tight, thoughtful appreciation is invaluable #Fundraising #IndividualGiving #CharityJobs #SayThankYou #Valued

Blumers create big impacts for small charities🧡Thank you to Ginny Cullen, CEO of CASBA Advocacy, for sharing her insights on working with our fantastic freelancers. Ginny came to Blume via Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and was quickly able to find the people she needed to support projects within her charity: "It’s so easy and straightforward. You put out a project, people send costs, and you can get into a productive chat quickly." Ginny recommends Blume to all charity CEOs: "As a CEO, Blume has brought so much to our organisation that I want all CEOs out there to know that if they need support with fundraising, HR, finance, strategy, anything and everything, then Blume has expert, lovely people there to provide it." #freelancer #charitynews #testimonialtuesday #feedback #recommendation #charityceo #ceo #charityimpact #charitynews
