TJ Sweet, your presentation on unlocking purpose and performance was a masterclass in reminding us what truly fuels our fire. In a world that often prioritizes metrics over meaning, you beautifully wove together the threads of grateful leadership, personal joy and appreciation, and an unwavering patient focus. Your call to remember our "why" resonated deeply with us, urging us to re-center our purpose on the lives we touch and the impact we make. The concept of "practicing gratitude" struck a chord. You challenged us to find joy in the journey, not just the destination, and that simple shift in perspective feels transformative. When we appreciate ourselves, our colleagues, and the purpose we serve, the work itself becomes sweeter, the challenges more manageable, and the impact more profound. For healthcare leaders, your insights were particularly timely. You offered a roadmap for not only enriching our teams but also ensuring the financial health of our hospitals. By prioritizing a culture of purpose and gratitude, we attract and retain talent, foster innovation, and ultimately deliver better care. Thank you, TJ, you've given us a renewed sense of why we do what we do, and the tools to live and lead with greater joy, purpose, and, yes, sweetness. #hfma #GreaterHeartLandChapter #PatientFocus #healthcarefinance #livingthesweetlife #hfmafamily

I shouldn't say this, but...... when I see a leadership panel comprised of only middle-aged white people .............. I can't help but feel really disappointed and frustrated. We do have diversity in healthcare! If you are the organiser of a healthcare event and every speaker is white and middle aged, please pause and then cast the net a little bit wider. It's not as hard as you think. If you can be bothered............................. #diversitymatters #RepresentationMatters

If your Health Care SYSTEM has issues which are causing system-instability connect with me.. >15 years experience of aligning systems with Mission!
In the context of a large healthcare organization, the debate between working from home and working in the office should be viewed through the lens of system science. The focus should shift from the physical location of employees to the fundamental question of how the organization, as a complex system, ensures stability and effectiveness. Whether staff members are working remotely or from an office, the crucial factor lies in the stability of the micro-systems within the organization. System science emphasizes that the health and functionality of the macro-system are directly influenced by the stability of its micro-components. Instead of fixating on the location of work, healthcare organizations should prioritize developing indicators and measures that assess the stability of these micro-systems, encompassing aspects such as communication, collaboration, and workflow efficiency. Measuring progress in a large healthcare organization necessitates a paradigm shift from traditional notions of remote versus on-site work towards a more holistic evaluation of system stability. A stable healthcare system, irrespective of where its workforce operates, is better equipped to deliver quality patient care, respond to evolving challenges, and adapt to changing circumstances. By focusing on indicators that gauge the stability of micro-systems, healthcare organizations can proactively address issues at their roots, fostering an environment that is resilient, efficient, and capable of delivering optimal outcomes for both staff and patients. #systemsthinking #healthcare Don Antonucci

🤔💭💪SOLUTIONS + INFLUENCE = THOUGHT LEADERSHIP!!!💪💭🤔 This interview with Sarah McLeod is an essential read for professionals aiming to drive positive change in their careers and industries. “I’d argue that a thought leader has influencing power because of their ability to inspire change and demonstrate success, regardless of mainstream popularity.” LinkedIn is a potent platform, but followers are less critical than conveying consistent, focused solutions grounded in deep knowledge. Ideas resonating with the right audience at scale can be a powerful change agent. In healthcare, we need more influential voices to help evolve a system that benefits both patients and providers.
Our CEO Sarah McLeod was recently interviewed for Medium. Her impressive background, professional accomplishments and healthcare expertise inspire the way she leads our team in cultivating thought leadership success for our clients.
