Twenty-five years ago I started my own record label… but what happened? After recording two albums for Narada, an affiliate of Virgin Records in 1999, Stone Angel Music was born. I saw in cellist Steven Nelson a household name like YoYo Ma. We released his first two albums. He later formed The Piano Guys with pianist Jon Schmidt. Additional artists on Stone Angel Music’s roster included albums from Ryan Tilby, Jake White, Camille Nelson, Ph.D., Shane Mickelsen, Jason Lyle Back and the Worth of Souls project featuring several American Idol contestants with Utah roots. In 2018, after moving to Nashville, my small DIY independent label was acquired by one of the largest publishing entities in the music industry, Anthem Entertainment. Today Anthem owns and administers my discography from 1995 - 2018, along with the albums featuring my Stone Angel Music artists. Under Anthem’s indie label I gave them 3 additional albums; Christmas (Dove Award Winner for Instrumental Album of the Year), Peaceful Piano, and The Broken Miracle featuring Grammy nominated artists. In the fall of 2021 I started a new DIY record label called All Heart Publishing. You’ll find my new albums on my website. God continues to bless this work.
