Today, Anthro is excited to announce the close of our $20M Series A round! The round was led by Collaborative Fund with significant participation from existing investors including Union Square Ventures, Voyager Ventures, and Emerson Collective. Energy Revolution Ventures, Nor'easter Ventures, Ultratech Capital Partners, Overlap Holdings, and others also participated in the financing. We are grateful for support from such a wonderful group of investors. The Series A follows an impressive range of technical and commercial accomplishments over the past year. Notably, cells containing Anthro’s advanced polymer electrolyte recently passed external UN 38.3 testing, a rigorous certification standard for safe transport of lithium-ion batteries. This funding supports Anthro’s vision to solve some of the hardest challenges facing the future of energy storage. We are rapidly advancing our material technology to create a scalable way to solve the tradeoff between energy density and safety in lithium-ion batteries. Our technology will enable new battery chemistries and new battery form factors to accelerate the electrification of everything. We plan to use the new funding to build a pilot facility in the Bay Area, scale our technology, and grow our team. We are excited to deliver Anthro technology to a growing group of customers and partners soon.
