The dynamic balancing process of a motor rotor is crucial to the motor’s performance and service life. The purpose of dynamic balancing is to eliminate or reduce the centrifugal forces and vibrations generated during rotor rotation, ensuring the motor runs smoothly and safely. The speed during the balancing process does have a certain impact on the final balancing result. (1)Importance of Balancing Speed Dynamic balancing is usually performed at lower speeds because, at higher speeds, the unbalanced forces on the rotor increase with the square of the speed, leading to greater vibrations and measurement errors. Selecting an appropriate speed helps accurately detect and correct rotor imbalance, avoiding excessive vibrations caused by high speeds that can affect measurement accuracy. (2)Correlation Between Final Effect and Operating Speed Although the dynamic balancing process can be performed at lower speeds, the final balancing effect should be verified within the motor's actual operating speed range. This is because the rotor’s stiffness, vibration patterns, and aerodynamic effects may vary at different speeds, so the balancing effect must be evaluated under conditions close to the operating speed to ensure stability during motor operation. The dynamic balancing effect of a motor rotor is indeed related to the speed during the balancing process.
