LEVEL INSTRUMENT: HYDROSTATIC LEVEL TRANSMITTER. A hydrostatic level transmitter operates based on the principle of hydrostatic pressure. It measures the pressure exerted by a liquid column above the sensor. The sensor(The object that has the subscribe sticker), typically consists of a diaphragm or a membrane that deflects under the pressure of the liquid. This deflection is then converted into an electrical signal, usually through a piezoelectric or strain gauge mechanism. The electrical signal is proportional to the liquid level, allowing for accurate level measurement.

The tested machine is the newly developed Xinlei 8-bar magnetic levitation centrifugal compressor, model XLMTC500-8, with a rated power of 350 kW. Flow testing was conducted in accordance with the GB/T15487 national standard for positive displacement compressors, using the ASME nozzle measurement method. Input power was measured with an electrical parameter instrument. This compressor features a four-stage compression system, with discharge pressures as follows: First stage: 90 kPa Second stage: 240 kPa Third stage: 430 kPa Fourth stage: 800 kPa Test results: At 7 bar pressure: 62.9 m³ discharge flow, 332.7 kW input power, and 5.29 specific input power. Advancements and Adaptation – Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) has evolved significantly since its early commercial application in the 1990’s. Advancements in signal processing techniques and advanced algorithms (TFM and FMC) coupled with automated scanning systems, have revolutionized PAUT inspections for manufacturers and industry. PAUT inspections can now be performed faster, with higher accuracy and reliability. ASME has adopted new rules for FMC in Sec. V, Article 4, Mandatory Appendix XI (FMC), and in Nonmandatory Appendix F for FMC which includes new personnel requirements and training outline in Sec. V, Article 1.
