Sales is a challenging career that demands a unique set of skills, including the ability to connect with people and make them feel seen and heard. It's not for everyone, as the pressure and stress can be overwhelming. But for those who can handle the discomfort and guide clients through the obstacles, the rewards can be life-changing. So, why do I do it? Why put myself through the stress and conflict? For me, it's simple. I love helping people see things differently. I love taking my family on trips that most only dream of. Sales is my calling. I was born to take chaos and make it into order, to guide people to solutions that benefit them better than their old ways or habits. Are you cut out for the sales life? It's not an easy path, but for those with the right skills and drive, the opportunities are endless. #sales #pressure #success

The world of sales is often shrouded in misconceptions. People think certain personalities are needed, but that's not true. Many myths can stop talented individuals from exploring sales jobs. Let's talk about these misconceptions and see what sales jobs are really like. What people think about sales: 1. Salespeople are born, not made. 2. All salespeople are extroverts. 3. Sales is just about making a quick sale. 4. Sales is a dead-end job. 5. The internet has killed sales. Hold on! Don't let myths stop you! 1. Anyone can be a top salesperson: It's about skills, not magic. Dedication and practice will get you there. 2. Not all salespeople are extroverts from the beginning: Introverts can develop extroverted skills through practice and personality development, which is beneficial in any field. 3. It's not just about making a quick sale: The best salespeople focus on building relationships and helping customers. 4. Sales opens doors: The skills you learn such as communication and negotiation are valuable across different careers. 5. The internet loves salespeople: It's all about building relationships online and providing valuable content. Sales can be a dynamic and fulfilling career for those with the right mindset and willingness to learn. P.S. Sales people: Don't want to see job hopping every year or two, but some jumps are okay, given you can provide a good explanation. Hiring managers want to see that you know how to truly "build", not knock down a few clients and move on and do the same again at the next stop. But close, expand, build...and have a plan on how to do that. By year 3 (and into 4) in a particular job, you have definitely worked your network, closed some deals with people you know, and are now having to build again. It shows your ability to cultivate new relationships, build upon those, and exhibit your true sales prowess, increasing your and the company's revenue stream. This repeatable behavior will get you in with the best companies, get you the offers you want, and provide that upward mobility you seek. #alwaysbegrowing

Stop complaining about how hard sales is…. I get it: · Prospecting is hard. · Rejection is hard. · Meeting increasing goals with decreasing resources is hard. · Dealing with difficult customers is hard. But it’s all about perspective, because you know what’s harder? · Missing goals. · Getting laid off. · Letting your team or yourself down. Every great rep I’ve known has an inner need to prove themselves, and sales offers the ultimate path to validation. · They shun shortcuts in favor of pushing their limits to see what they’re capable of. · They’re motivated by overcoming obstacles. · They embrace hard things. Next time you catch yourself complaining about the difficulty of a sales career, try reframing by looking through the lens of gratitude. · We “get” to cold call to make new connections. · We “get” to handle objections to improve our skills and confidence. · We “get” to deal with difficult customers to build relationships. If selling were easy it wouldn’t be as satisfying. Thriving in a career that scares most people is part of the attraction. What do you think? #sales #salescareer #dohardthings

Here is how I detach from emotions when I receive objections and no’s in sales. If you haven't figured it out yet, sales is not an easy career whatsoever. It is completely based on performance and if you can’t bring in any money for the company well, best of luck. That is why removing your emotions from your sales activity is critical. Rejections and objections are often faced within a sales role and can affect salespeople by: ⦾ lowering their self-esteem ⦾ increasing their stress and anxiety ⦾ affecting their enthusiasm and tonality ⦾ reducing their persistence ⦾ lowering their overall performance Sales can be a mentally straining career, so here is how I detach from emotions when I receive objections and no’s. I hope you enjoy :) NL #emotionalintelligence #sales #growth #mentalhealth

Contrary to popular belief, narcissists don't usually make the best salespeople. In fact, sales has a way of leveling out your ego. Why? 👉 You're constantly forced to think from someone else's point of view. 👉 You don't win unless you help someone else (the customer) win. 👉You learn to adapt to the social situation. If you're quiet, you learn to talk. If you're talkative, you learn to listen. Bottom line: try sales if you want to evolve as a human. (Spoiler alert: most jobs are sales or will become sales as you advance in your career) #manufacturing #industrialsales

Sales is a thrilling profession, but it's not for everyone. It requires a unique blend of skills and personality traits to thrive in this fast-paced environment. Some signs that a sales career might not be your ideal fit are: 👎 You dislike rejection: Sales involves constant outreach, and rejection is inevitable. If you struggle to bounce back after hearing "no," sales might be a demotivating experience. 📞 You're an introvert who hates cold calling: Not all sales roles involve cold calling, but many do. If the thought of making unsolicited pitches fills you with dread, there might be a better career path for your personality. 💲 You prioritize stability over hustle: Sales commissions can create significant income fluctuations. If a steady paycheck is crucial for you, a role that includes commissions might not be the answer. 😰 You struggle with deadlines: Sales quotas can feel like constant pressure. If you perform poorly under deadlines, the stress of sales could be overwhelming. 💤 You have a weak interest in the product/service: It's difficult to convincingly sell something you don't believe in. If you can't get behind the product or service, it will show in your interactions with potential customers. Remember, this doesn't mean there aren't amazing opportunities in sales! But if these signs resonate with you, consider exploring other career paths that better align with your strengths and preferences. #salesleadership #salesmanagement #sales
