I’ve heard it all before, but I do my best to feign attention, make eye contact, and show interest in the flight attendant's safety briefing. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4fzO0QG #FlywithAOPA #ASI #Safety #TrainingTuesday #Aviation #AvGeek

I have been watching some of Air Crash investigations then I found that some of them caused by Captains with very experience skills and time. I do not mean that having experience is perfect NO, but the issue here is the company culture or traditons of the particular society. This is from the first officers(Co-Pilot) who fear to speak, correct and override the captain when mistakes occurs or any failure. For instance Air India Express Flight 1344, Royal Air Maroc Express Flight 439, United Airlines Flight 1722 and AirBlue Flight 202. To all first officers, it’s BETTER TO EXPLAIN WHILE YOU ARE ALIVE more than your incident EXPLAINED AFTER YOUR ABSENCE. Override, keep advicing, communicate with proper CRM and remember all souls on board delegated on your hands amd skills. Companies should ilencourage these, proper treatments to First Officers by Captains, example AirBlue Flight 202, that’s the mistreatment. Encourage proper CRM, a certain culture where Captains should be okay to be corrected. This will reduce amount of accidents and fatalities. Good examples of proper CRM that served the flight from accident is Malaysian Airlines Flight 134. Good CRM by Pilot In Comand To His First Officer. Simple, PIC just Delegate, Aviate, Navigate and Communicate. Thank You. #aviation #aviationindustry #aviationnews #aviationsafety #aviationsustainability #safetyculture #safety #airlines #airlinejobs #crmsystem #crew #crewmanagement Malaysia Airlines TANZANIA CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY(TCAA) GACA - General Authority of Civil Aviation - Saudi Arabia Federal Aviation Administration LinkedIn Coastal Air DGCA India Sweetbert C. Akasa Air has recently experienced the cancellation of 10 flights over a span of two days, which the airline has labeled as an "aberration." Although the specific reasons for these cancellations were not disclosed by the airline, insider sources suggest that a shortage of trained pilots may be to blame. However, Akasa Air has firmly denied any shortage of pilots. Check out the story : https://lnkd.in/d4NpNuP3 #akasaair #airline #aviation #aberration #businessnews #bizzbuzz

Tea ☕️ coffee ☕️ or ME… The Life Saver, Cabin Crew 👩✈️ The recent incident involving JAL Flight JL516 at Tokyo Haneda airport has prompted sobering thoughts on passenger awareness and cooperation during crucial moments. Too often, we witness passengers distracted during safety briefings, a stark reality as flight attendants strive to convey life-saving information. JAL Flight JL516 successfully evacuated 367 passengers within a challenging 90-second timeframe during a nighttime emergency. However, recent information suggests a more extended evacuation period, emphasizing the complexity of such situations. The success of this mission can be attributed to a meticulous combination of education, training, and seamless cooperation among cockpit, cabin crew, and passengers. The behavior of the 367 passengers during this incident was as vital as that of the crew, highlighting the importance of collective and selfless efforts during emergencies. This aligns with the Royal Aeronautical Society's identification of operational challenges related to passengers taking cabin baggage during evacuations. The proactive response of JAL Group in offering changes and refunds for affected passengers underscores a commitment to safety. As we mourn the loss of the five souls on the Coast Guard airplane, it is essential to recognize that the successful evacuation was not a miracle but a result of rigorous training, continuous improvements, and education. The aviation community can draw lessons from incidents like JL516 to address operational challenges and enhance safety protocols. The next time you encounter disruptions like diverted flights or safety instructions, remember that adherence to protocols supports professionals in ensuring passenger safety during emergencies. #JL516 #aviation #safety #cabincrew #lessonslearned

Japan Airlines staff raise safety concerns following several incidents Pilots and ground handling staff employed by Japan Airlines (JAL) have voiced concerns over training shortfalls and difficulties communicating with more senior employees following a string of recent safety incidents at the carrier. In terms of the pilot workforce, with many pilots having retired early during the pandemic, the airline has recruited flight crews to fill those open cockpit positions in the time since. However, this has resulted in a flying environment where few pilots know each other and often meet for the first time on the flight deck. Such an environment is making it more difficult for pilots to communicate and interact with each other in a country where a seniority-based hierarchy is still very much installed in the national psyche, said unnamed sources employed by the airline. The recent incident of Japan Airlines flight #JL516 crash landing at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport serves as a powerful reminder of importance of air safety and how well trained flight crew and cabin crew onboard the aircraft to handle emergency situations like this. In emergencies, like the one on Japan Airlines flight #JL516, their training kicks in - evacuating all 379 passengers and crew from a burning aircraft in less than 90 seconds without even using all 8 emergency exits of Airbus A350, which few were unusable due to fire . It’s crucial to acknowledge that flying remains incredibly safe, even surpassing the safety of driving. The airline industry continuously learns from incidents, implementing safety procedures and processes to enhance safety. At the same time ,it’s equally important for passengers also, to understand the importance of safety measures onboard and ensure the understanding of safety video or instructions given by the cabin crew so that in a no notice emergency like this, no time wasted of evacuating the aircraft following the cabin crew evacuation drill. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the dedication of all well-trained crew - both pilots and cabin crew of Japan Airlines flight #JL516 - for their extreme professionalism and dedication and all the crew around the world for taking their roles seriously and tirelessly working to keep the passengers safe. Safe travels ✈️✈️ #japanairlines #airlinesafty #cabincrew #cabincrewtraining #flightsafety

Unfortunate decision at all levels. It looks like the cabin crew supervisor who was shouting at the passengers (she was saying "My crew..."). Normally she/he should be the last lane for solving properly the problem before escalation to the captain. Golden rules are; 1- Calming down to diffuse the situation. 2- Then, it will be easy to understand what is the problem? Without emotion. Basically, a passenger bought a ticket to travel safely from point A to point B not to create a disruptive situation. 3-Most of the time, suggesting an alternative solution to the passenger would solve the problem and allow continuing the flight safely. Having said that, there is a situation where the cabin crew needs to be very assertive : when a passenger does not comply with on board safety instructions. Then we start immediately by giving a verbal warning.

Stress levels are quite high in the sky these days: An Air Canada flight from Casablanca (CMN) to Montreal (YUL) was canceled due to the inappropriate behavior of a flight attendant on July 26, 2024 The Airbus A330-343 aircraft (C-GHLM) did the taxi aiming a departure while operating flight AC73, but had to return back to gate due to the unfortunate development. As per sources, a passenger asked for a blanket because of the excessive air conditioning, leading the stewardess to call the police to disembark the lady. In support of this passenger, all the other travelers also left the plane, forcing Air Canada to cancel the flight. #fl360aero
