Research indicates that #occupationaltherapy interventions can be effective in reducing #hospital readmissions, especially for patients recovering from surgeries or with acute medical conditions. See the evidence & spread the knowledge 💡: https://lnkd.in/dhj_Wys7

The key phrase you started your piece with is critical- imposed Interventions. Every therapy company I worked for had their established policies and procedures about EVERYTHING. They had established protocols for evaluations, treatment plan development (with short term/ long term goals built into pos computer systems), discharge notes and HEP. They will tell you the system is built for efficiency- so that therapists don't needlessly "waste" time thinking of unique approaches for individual patients. In fact, their systems are created to capitalize on maximize reimbursement from third party payment sources. Medicare is the model system for documentation and billing. Research takes time. Time is money. Companies want to MAKE money not lose money.
