Among 296 U.S. metro areas studied, the New York area is projected to have by far the most new rental units completed in 2023, 33,001. According to worldredeye. As the most competitive apartment market in the country, Miami has once again taken the top spot. A recent study that looked at 137 markets found that the city's booming rental market is a result of both its booming real estate market and its expanding population. Miami's apartment occupancy rate is a startling 97.1% higher than the country's average of 94%. A top real estate firm's study, which examined a number of variables including occupancy rates, rent increases, and demand-supply dynamics, sought to assess the competitiveness of apartment markets across the nation.
