The Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) conducted the US Staffing Industry Pulse Survey in May 2024, analyzing activity from April 2024. The survey gathered insights from 177 staffing companies, focusing on temporary staffing, direct hire, and retained search segments. In response to revenue growth challenges, staffing firms are taking decisive actions: -55% of firms have increased their sales headcount. -46% are boosting marketing spend. -46% offer internal incentives for new business wins.

Yesterday Robert Walters recently released their Q2 results, a 12% decrease in Net Fee Income. Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has announced the 2024 Fastest-Growing Staffing Firms in the US. The annual list ranks firms by compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for US staffing revenue from 2019-2023, excluding acquisitions. “Our 2024 Fastest-Growing Staffing Firms show that when the market gets tough, organizations adapt, respond and deliver. SIA reports Revenue at the world’s 100 largest #staffing firms fell by 7% in 2023 to $269 billion. The largest firms represented approximately 43% of the global staffing revenue last year. According to Staffing Industry Analysts The US, the largest three IT staffing firms are TEKsystems, Insight Global and Innova Solutions. These three combined to generate $8.7 billion in US IT staffing revenue in 2023 (23% of the US IT staffing market), according to the Largest IT Staffing Firms in the United States: 2024 Update report. Sixty-six firms appear on the list with all having revenue greater than our US cutoff of $100 million. Despite obvious challenges in the industry, these company still qualified for this list. 2024 may prove even stronger for IT staffing firms.
