At the 31st General Meeting of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (#PECC) in Lima, #Peru, Ambassador Donald Campbell, APF Canada Distinguished Fellow and Chair of the Canadian National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, took the stage to address the need for international co-operation to avert today's global crises. As the only non-governmental official observer of #APEC, PECC brings together leaders from business, government, academia, and other intellectual circles to create a critical platform for dialogue. Under this year's theme of “The Role of Regional Cooperation in a Disrupted World,” Ambassador Campbell advocated for modern strategies for international collaboration to build resilience. – Lors de la 31e Assemblée générale du Conseil de coopération économique du Pacifique (#PECC) à Lima, #Pérou, l’ambassadeur Donald Campbell, attaché supérieur de recherches distingué de la FAP Canada et président du Comité national canadien pour la coopération économique du Pacifique, a pris la parole pour évoquer la nécessité d’une coopération internationale afin d’éviter les crises mondiales contemporaines. Yesterday, APF Canada hosted Representative Harry Tseng of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Canada for an insightful conversation on Taiwan’s expertise in #supplychain resilience, #chiptechnology, and #AI advancements. Our discussion highlighted the growing significance of #Canada–#Taiwan relations in fostering collaboration on critical global issues. This week, we were honoured to host #Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, and his delegation for a roundtable discussion with leaders in #business and #education in #Vancouver. Our September 3 roundtable focused on strengthening ties between #Canada and #Indonesia, enhancing bilateral #trade and #investment, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration and growth in the #Indo-Pacific region. We thank all the attendees for their valuable insights and contributions! – Cette semaine, nous avons eu l’honneur d’accueillir le ministre coordonnateur indonésien des Affaires économiques, Airlangga Hartarto, et sa délégation pour une table ronde avec des leaders du monde des #affaires et de l’#éducation à #Vancouver.
