Recently I was catching up with 45th FIDE chess olympiad matches as it's one of my hobby to analyze chess matches and this was a remarkable match between GM Praggnanandhaa R. and GM Anton Demchenko that concluded with victory for Praggnanandhaa. His performance, had an accuracy of 94.9%, compared to Demchenko’s 89.4%, was a testament to his superior strategic planning and execution. Post analysis of this game was making it seem like prag dominated this game from the beginning but Anton also gave a tough fight. There were few crucial momments in this game :- when the white bishop on d5 dominated central squares, brilliantly supporting potential pawn advancements. And The rook on a4 was crucial, not only supporting the passed pawn on b3 but also versatile enough to shift focus between the kingside and center swiftly. The positioning forced the black king on e7 into a passive stance, constrained by its pieces and reducing its effectiveness. An important moment came when Prag’s rook captured a pawn on b3, to promote the passed pawn, increasing threats against Black. Despite active pieces, Black's counterplay was stopped by White's push and piece activity. This game was very simple to analyze in post game review and it seemed anton wasn't paying attention to prag's baits but in a match with this time limit it very common to loose sight of obvious bait. Prag’s decision to capture the pawn on b3 with his rook, while maintaining overall position advantage, reflects calculated risk-taking that is also vital in business settings. #FIDE #Chessanalysis #Praggnanandhaa #Businessanalysis #Chess

But Could Delhi Have Been Better for Chess Glory? In chess, where strategy and foresight reign supreme, the choice of venue for the World Chess Championship isn't merely logistical—it's a statement that resonates across borders and cultures. The recent decision to host the championship in Singapore, albeit strategic, prompts a reflection on the potential of Delhi, India's vibrant capital, as an equally fitting host with a broader global appeal. Delhi and Chennai emerged as formidable contenders to host the prestigious World Chess Championship. Chennai, renowned as the hometown of young chess prodigy Gukesh D, garnered support from the Tamil Nadu state government. Meanwhile, Delhi, backed by India's central government, stood out with its rich cultural heritage and extensive global connectivity. Emil Sutovsky, FIDE CEO, underscored, “Neutrality was a decisive factor. Singapore presented a balanced platform for fair competition.” However, Delhi’s bid promised not just neutrality but also a chance to showcase chess’s universal appeal amidst its iconic landmarks and cultural diversity. Looking Ahead- India’s Chess Future While Singapore’s selection is a testament to neutrality and Southeast Asia’s chess heritage, it’s heartening to note FIDE’s plans for a major event in India in 2025. India, a chess powerhouse, continues to inspire young players globally. As we anticipate future tournaments, Delhi’s bid may not have succeeded this time, but its potential as a host city remains undeniable. It is a beacon for showcasing India’s passion for chess and its ability to host world-class events on par with any global metropolis. Let's continue championing chess's universal appeal and advocate for future #tournaments that bridge cultures and show international sportsmanship. Let’s watch as Gukesh D and Ding Liren make history on this neutral ground, and may their games inspire us all. Follow the games, support the #players, and immerse yourself in the #chess culture. #SRCA #Checkmatesrcastyle #chess #chess2024 #grandmaster #chessknowledge

An Exciting Year for Chess Fans Worldwide! As an ardent chess follower and having participated in a few tournaments myself, this year feels special, almost transformative. Post-pandemic, the chess world has shifted, and we now have Ding Liren, the first-ever Chinese World Champion, at the top, although Magnus Carlsen, the GOAT, remains a towering presence in the chess universe. But what’s really thrilling is the rise of Gukesh D, India’s chess prodigy, who has climbed the ranks with incredible speed and is now ready to take on Ding for the 2024 World Chess Championship. While it would have been legendary to see Gukesh face Magnus, this upcoming battle promises to be just as epic. The match is set to showcase a fascinating clash of styles—Ding’s calm and strategic precision versus Gukesh’s daring, aggressive tactics. Expect dynamic, high-stakes games where Gukesh’s sharp openings will push Ding into unfamiliar and uncomfortable positions, testing the reigning champion's resolve. This match isn't just about two players; it represents a possible changing of the guard. A win for Gukesh would signal the arrival of a new generation of chess talent and solidify India’s growing prominence on the world stage. As an Indian chess fan, I can’t wait to witness history in the making! Easy yet solid Future Prediction - Gukesh will be the new world champion. #Chess #WorldChessChampionship #Gukesh #DingLiren #FutureOfChess #India #ChessProdigy #FIDE
