A Milestone I want to share with you! 🤩 Today it is a significant day for me – I’ve officially hit 1 year in Sales at SilverBack (and honestly, I don’t know where the time has gone)! I feel it’s the right moment to share a little more about myself and my journey so far. As a Business Development Assistant, I have the incredible opportunity to connect top-tier electrical and mechanical workforce solutions with exciting projects across Denmark and Sweden. The knowledge and growth I’ve experienced over the past year have been truly astonishing. I’ve met amazing people in the industry, and now I’m proud to say I’m fully immersed in the world of construction and engineering – it’s a passion now, that grows stronger every day. What I value most in my role is building sincere relationships. For me, it's not just about making connections, but about helping others achieve their goals. I’m focused on problem-solving, and I believe that through collaboration, we can overcome challenges together. Having lived in Denmark for half a year, I can confidently say it’s my favourite country! 🇩🇰 I’ve fallen in love with the construction sector, and despite the challenges, I’ve realised it’s where I belong. It’s not always easy, but my determination to never give up is what drives me forward (and support of my unbreakable Manager 😉 ). I’m proud of the role I play here at SilverBack, especially as we contribute to the green energy transformation. I’m excited to be working on projects that have a lasting, positive impact on our environment. Jerry's role involves installing water meters in homes and businesses, ensuring accurate water usage tracking for the community. If Jerry could travel anywhere in the world, he'd choose Italy. When asked what he can't live without, Jerry responded: "Trial and tribulation, because I wouldn't be who I am today without persevering." This attitude of resilience shines through in his work ethic. Did you know? Jerry is not just a dedicated professional, but also a man of many talents. In his younger days, he used to write poetry and create artwork, showcasing his creative side. He's also an accomplished boxer, having made it to the prestigious Golden Gloves competition. These personal achievements reflect his resilience and discipline, qualities that shine through in his work ethic. Jerry's first job was at a car wash during his high school days, but he's found his professional home with UMS. His favorite thing about working here? Heim’s and GES’s Safety Committee, comprised of personnel from each of our various departments, is the backbone of our safety practices. Josh Eroh, a Process Engineer at GES, shares his most impactful moment since joining the team: “If I had to choose just one moment, it would be seeing the response to a recent employee back strain. It was very meaningful to be a part of the lengthy discussion in which we uncovered its root cause and understood the circumstances in which [the injury] occurred---even getting feedback from those who had previously worked in the environment, and having a realistic discussion on how to prevent it in the future. It was impressive to see how dutifully the issue treated---regardless of its severity.  The event actually led to the purchase of  heavy-lifting assistance equipment for everyone---minimizing risk of injury recurrence. We really do take these things seriously, and our team always emphasizes the importance of making small corrections that will lead to a safer workplace over time.
