"Overcoming Temptation: Seeking Strength through Biblical Precedents and Principles" Temptation, a recurring theme in the Scriptures, poses a formidable challenge that, if yielded to, may lead to transgression. As articulated in 1 Corinthians 10:13, God's unwavering faithfulness ensures that temptations are limited to what we can withstand, providing a pathway to perseverance. Reflecting on Jesus' resolute triumph over temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11) while studying the Word offers a guiding light. By grounding ourselves in the Word of God and relying on His strength, we can strive to follow His example in overcoming temptations. This journey emphasizes the significance of prayer, mutual accountability, and purposeful avoidance of situations that breed temptation, ensuring spiritual fortitude when confronted with such challenges. @followers @highlight Apostle Charles F Dashiell

Eternal life is the present possession of the believer. -- John iii: 36; v. 24; vi: 47, etc. He who looks lives; his perfect recovery is assured, if not immediate. He who was struck with death now lives. He is passed from death unto life, into life. The germs of all the future purity and glory are in him already; and it is now only a question of development. Eternal life is to be judged primarily by quality, not quantity; the first is a matter of regeneration, the second of sanctification. The perfect saint is potentially in the penitent sinner from the instant of his looking unto Jesus. - A. T. Pierson, Seed Thoughts for Public Speakers (1900)

In whatsoever you do always disregard any suggestion and dilute any desire to live a life that is fake just because you want to impress people. Many people have attracted frustration to themselves because they wanted to impress people so they blended to the tune of living a kind of life that is void of originality. Living a life that really counts and attracts divine appraisal entails living a kind of life that is not just after impressing people by expressing a life of divine purpose, passion and persistence. Don't adjust your life to the standard of others because you want their commendation but rather diligently align yourself to live the kind of life God has destined you to live. Refuse to allow what people say to sway you away from living the God-kind of life. Jesus Christ our perfect example modelled a kind of life that was not just concerned about impressing people but ultimately expressing the Godlike nature consistently. That is why we have been mandated by God to live for Him if we must fulfill His purposes for our lives. Always embrace originality as your trademark and exude exceptionality in whatsoever you do in so much that God is pleased ultimately. #Originality #Enlightenment #Impactpreneur

It requires a conscious decision and effort to keep our primary goal constantly in front of us. It means holding ourselves to the highest priority year in and year out; not making our first priority to win souls, or to establish churches, or to have revivals, but seeking only “to be well pleasing to Him. It is not a lack of spiritual experience that leads to failure, but a lack of working to keep our eyes focused and on the right goal. Any goal we have that diverts us even to the slightest degree from the central goal of being “approved to God” (2 Timothy 2:15) may result in our rejection from further service for Him. When you discern where the goal leads, you will understand why it is so necessary to keep “looking unto Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2). I must learn to relate everything to the primary goal, maintaining it without interruption. My worth to God publicly is measured by what I really am in my private life. Is my primary goal in life to please Him and to be acceptable to Him, or is it something less, no matter how lofty it may sound? - Oswald Chambers

This moment captures the profound authority and wisdom of Jesus Christ. It reveals His ability to confound even those sent to apprehend Him, demonstrating that His teachings are not merely human but rooted in divine truth and power. Reflecting on this passage invites us to ponder the authority of Jesus in our lives today. His words are not empty rhetoric but living truths that penetrate the depths of our hearts and minds. They challenge us to examine our beliefs, align our actions with His teachings, and surrender to His sovereign authority. In a world often filled with uncertainty, His steadfastness and clarity provide a foundation on which we can confidently stand. Knowing God’s Will for your Life. 1. Through His Voice - Samuel (1 Samuel 3:3-4), Abram (Genesis 12:1), Noah (Genesis 6:13). 2. Through Confirmation of a Man of God - When Eli helped Samuel discern God calling him (1 samuel 3:7-9). 3. Through Dreams and Visions - Joseph (Genesis 37:5) 4. Through Godly Parents and Elders - Esther (Esther 4:13-14), Ruth (Ruth 3:1). 5. Through God’s Servant - Saul (1 Samuel 10:1-2) 6. Through Prophecy - Isaac (Genesis 15:4,10), John (Luke 1:13-17) 7. Through Nature of Birth - John, Jesus, Samson 8. Through Divine Encounter - Saul (Acts 9:4-6). 9. Through Faithful Service - Joshua (Exodus 33:9-11) 10. Through Prayer - Jesus before he chose the 12 apostles (Luke 6:12-13) 11. Through His Son - Jesus (Hebrews 1:1-2) 12. Through the Holy Spirit (John 16:12-15). God is dynamic and will use a combination of the above or even use other means just to let you know His will. However, the Holy Spirit is your best partner in knowing God’s will for your life because Jesus told us what the Holy will do… ““I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:12-15 NKJV https://lnkd.in/dG9ku5Mp

Biblical qualities that will guarantee success can be found in the simplest of creatures: “Go to the ant 🐜 🐜 🐜, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest”- Proverbs 6:6-8. 1) UNITY is strength- this is enabled through the execution of goodness, godliness, mutual affection and love. 2) NEVER QUIT- instead, use Godly knowledge to find alternative ways to fulfill your purpose. 3) BE PROACTIVE- use self-control to prepare for the ‘winter season’. 4) HAVE FAITH & PERSEVERANCE- because the ‘winter’ season will end. 5) DO NOT PROCRASTINATE to acquire these qualities, “for if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ”- 2 Peter 1:5-8.
