Focus on doing great for your first 100 users, not on getting 1k.
This is the advice YC tells you but for some reason so many (myself included) don't live by it.
I guess it takes making the mistake yourself to actually learn it 🥲
To be honest, I think that's one of the mistakes that that I made. You're trying to get to 1000 clients right, to to get to your Series A or Series B. You're thinking about that next goal. So you're thinking about well, I I need 900 more and that seems like the much bigger problem than like keeping the 100 you have happy. Like don't assume that those 100 are going to stick around and in fact think of those 100 as being the folks that are going to get you one or two or three new clients each. Because if you think about that it that way, then that was 100. Clients, if they're happy, they get 1-2 three of their friends. Now you have 203 hundred 400 clients and those 203 hundred new people that they bring in each, then bring in two or three new clients and boom, that's how you're at 1000. And all of a sudden that seems a lot more achievable and manageable than it is just going out into the world and finding 900 new companies on on your own.
