We often underestimate the impact that underwear has on the impoverished within our society. This is worse especially in our part of the world where underwear is considered a non necessity, yet it's one source of dignity for human beings especially girls & women. Imagine those imprisoned women who have to share one panty during their periods because the prison facility doesn't give them freely yet some of those incarcerated do not receive guests for years? Even worse, picture a girl in rural Kenya who misses school during her menses because she cannot afford a panty or sanitary towels. As you consider giving during this holiday season, let your social responsibility not only focus on food & toiletries. Give these girls & women ( even men) underwear & restore their joy, dignity & make their holiday season equally special. Happy holidays!🎁🎀
🤩 During the next 12 days, we'll share 12 inspiring stories about the individuals who receive the donated underwear. 🎗️ To give back this season of giving, please consider donating to our cause. A $15 donation can get a pack of underwear for an individual, but $60 can help provide a family of 4 with underwear for the week. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g9qBkDY6 #GivingDignity #GivingTuesday #12DaysofUndieGiving

It’s a daunting number but we anticipate that by June 2024, we will exceed 2,000,000 meals served. Requests for Loaves & Fishes’ assistance have tripled since March 2020, growing from 2,500 meals to over 7,000 meals per day! By the end of June 2023, we had provided over 1,800,000 meals to those most vulnerable in our communities. And all estimates indicate that we will have served over two million meals by June 2024. 🌟 Exciting News: Supporting Our Veterans 🌟 We are proud to announce our recent collaboration with Team #6 of Leadership Green Bay in their remarkable initiative alongside Veterans 1st of Northeast Wisconsin. Together, we are dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of veterans facing housing insecurity in our community. 🏡 The Vision: Creating a supportive community for our veterans, the project envisions the construction of 21 cottage homes and a Community Center. This initiative is not just about providing shelter but also about fostering a sense of belonging and support among those who served our country. 🛠 Our Contribution: To aid in the realization of this noble cause, our focus has been on fundraising efforts to construct a carriage house. This essential structure will serve as a central storage facility for tools and materials during the construction phase and later transition to a maintenance and storage hub for the residents and the community. 🤝 Why It Matters: By supporting this project, we're not only contributing to the physical structure of a community but also reinforcing the foundation of support and gratitude for our veterans. It's our way of giving back to those who have given so much. We invite our network to join us in this endeavor, whether through contributions, sharing this message, or volunteering. Together, we can make a substantial impact on the lives of veterans in need. Individual donations can be made here: https://lnkd.in/geS2mgen

American Global is having the conversations. We are assisting our clients in having the conversations with their teams. We are showing up and we are raising awareness alongside American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. All to better the #constructionindustry. If you are a leader in the industry, are you doing your part? We all have to come together on issues like this to make a change! #bettertogether #construction #contractors
American Global teammates from NY to FL were proud to 'walk the walk' in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by participating in their local Construction Hike for Hope last Saturday. We were also there to support the massive effort of AG's own Rob Labbe, Jr., CSP and David Wessin, ASIST who worked tirelessly to secure sponsors and promote the event to raise funds for this most worthwhile and important cause. Thank you to Rob, David and all those who participated and/or donated. To find about more about how you could save someone's life or make a donation, visit: https://lnkd.in/eniXUsR8

I am certain that re-sharing this post will be yet another donation request in time when many are being posted on daily basis. You also might think that liver disease doesn’t affect you, so why to support Canadian Liver Foundation. Liver health is a key aspect of our day-to-day living. Your medication, your diet, your stress level, your hormonal imbalance are attributing factors to healthy functioning liver, thus impacting you and your future. From a personal perspective, I am suddenly aware that Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), when untreated can lead to Liver cancer, is one of many symptoms of menopause. Worryingly, NAFLD is also on the rise among young children due to poor diet and lack of physical activity. HepC and HepB are preventable diseases, yet vaccination is on decline. Just few of the examples of the support and prevention our foundation is focused on in our LIVERight initiative coming out in 2024. It’s been a challenging year for charities/foundations at large with donor (whether individual or corporate) fatigue, rising prices and cost of living and world in turmoil in general. There are many causes to support. I personally have few myself. But this year, our household allocated budget for donations will be dedicated to CLF. I believe in our mission and vision, and I can already see the impact in our community. It is not just the patients directly affected by liver diseases, it is the support to our community at large, and the prevention initiatives starting as early as elementary school education. This holiday season, I appeal to you to make a donation to a health charity instead of chasing the perfect gift for a discounted price. The impact is felt by many instead of just the gift recipient and will provide you with a sense of gratitude and reciprocity for the gifts that we are lucky to experience everyday living a healthy life. And I hope that you consider Canadian Liver Foundation. Thank you! #liverhealth #givingtuesday2023 #
