One of my biggest takeaways from acquisiton(.)com in Las Vegas ⬇️ The “More, Better, New” framework. We're often quick to chase the allure of the "New" without fully maximising the potential of what's already effective. So let's break down this concept with an Apple example: 1/ MORE Apple expanded its market reach by opening additional retail stores worldwide. This strategy enhanced their accessibility and presence. And it allows more customers to experience their products firsthand. 2/ BETTER Apple continuously refines its existing product lines, like the iPhone. They integrate advancements in camera technology, processors, and features. And they consistently elevate the UX. This commitment to improvement keeps customers loyal. 3/ NEW Apple are always looking to shift into new territories. For example, with products such as the Apple Watch and AirPods. These products not only set new standards but also shape entire industries. Which do you focus on more – improving current products or creating new ones? ♻️

The Vision Pro, a mixed-reality headset by Apple, had its first sales day on February 2, 2024, in the United States. Pre-orders for the device began on January 19, 2024. The Vision Pro headset was available for purchase at all U.S. Apple Store locations and the U.S. Apple Store online. On the first day of sales, Apple stores across the country saw eager shoppers, and private one-on-one demos were offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The Vision Pro headset was priced at $3,500, and with additional accessories, the cost could go up to $4,600. Despite the high price, Apple sold approximately 200,000 Vision Pro headsets within the first 10 days of pre-orders. However, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo warned that demand for the Vision Pro could taper off quickly due to its niche market and high price.

Two words: headphone jack. | Photo by Dan Seifert / The Verge Although Apple’s tablet lineup has undergone several shakeups over the last several years, we long considered the ninth-gen iPad to be the best budget iPad you could get. That changed when Apple dropped the price of the 10th-gen iPad to a more sensible $349 and discontinued its entry-level model. But the 2021 iPad remains a perfectly good slate, especially now that the base model with 64GB of storage is down to a new low of around $224 ($105 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. As far as hardware is concerned, the ninth-gen iPad is very much a remnant of Apple’s former design language. The 10.2-inch tablet has a traditional iPad look with large bezels, a dedicated home button, and a Lightning port — not to mention a 3.5mm audio jack... Continue reading…

Is it just me, or are Apple’s product presentations becoming more and more like technical briefings? With the launch of the new iPhone 16 and other products today, the focus seems to be on detailed specs rather than the experience these devices create. Steve Jobs was all about what you could do with the product, not just how it was built inside. It feels like Apple is drifting towards selling technical features over the emotional connection and user experience that made them iconic. People don't buy processor data details but what the phone can do for them, preferably better and faster than before! What do you think—is Apple heading in the wrong direction, not with their products, but when it comes to presentations? #apple #appleevent #iphone16 #salespresentation https://lnkd.in/dHkJ6tWE

👉 Some buyers of the Apple Vision Pro ($3,500) are returning it due to discomfort, headaches, and eye strain caused by its weight and design. Users report feeling sick and note the lack of engaging apps and multitasking capabilities. 🤔 The number of returns and their implications for the Vision Pro's future remain uncertain. Early users express concerns on platforms like Threads and Reddit, mentioning they might consider trying future versions if they improve in comfort and functionality. However, significant enhancements may not be expected until around 2030, according to reports from Apple's Vision Products Group. ✅ Apple's 14-day return policy for the Vision Pro allows customers to return the device at no extra cost and for any reason. However, customers must remove the device from their Apple ID, erase data, and return all accessories. 🛠 It's unclear how Apple will respond to the returns and whether they'll make adjustments to the Vision Pro. People are eager to see how Apple will address user feedback and enhance the headset's comfort and functionality in future iterations. To read the entire article: https://lnkd.in/g9ftjfY9
