A simple task from the widow's journal: 1) notice your refrigerator water filter is way out in the red 2) remember you saw an extra filter unopened sitting somewhere... 3) 2 hours later - locate the filter 4) realize you can't turn that stupid knob/closure with your bare hands 5) go fish for the right tool in the toolbox 6) see that you were turning it in the wrong direction, and pull the old filter out 7) wipe the floor from all that water that came out 8) follow instructions and pour water through the new filter for a few minutes before you install it 9) find out that this filter is smaller than the old one and wouldn't fit (maybe that's why he never used it?) 10) wipe the floor again 11) put the old filter back in and lock it in safely 12) pull it out because you should see if it has a specific number (yes it does) 13) install the old filter back and put away the tool 14) wipe the floor 15) order a new, proper filter on Amazon 16) find out it looks awfully the same as the one you just threw out that was the wrong size 17) go back to get the tool 18) pull the old filter out again 19) wipe the... 20) find the measuring tape to see if they're the same size - yes they are 21) read instructions carefully 22) OK, so you didn't pull off the guard that makes it lock into your fridge, from the old one and put it on the new one before 23) with the guard in place, of course, it fits! 24) run the water as the instructions ask for, so it clears out the water and activates the new filter 25) wipe again whatever you managed to spill before you slip on it 26) reset your filter indicator 27) put away the tool and pat yourself on the back 28) fish out the perfectly good filter you thought was the wrong size and threw out yesterday - from the garbage 29) go pour yourself a well-deserved cup of coffee NAILED IT!
