When I say "lab-in-the-loop" (LITL) most people think immediately of a fully automated lab when in reality LITL has nothing to do with automation. You CAN automate your lab processes, but you can run a full LITL just using human labor. The key is ensuring your data feeds into models that are used to influence the next round of design. Each step in the lab can still be carried out by a person though.

An investor asked "Why is it hard to build Robotics for formulation?" Answer: "Lab automation is made for biology, not chemistry" We had to build our chemistry automation from scratch. Here's what we changed: 1/ Solvents Most materials used in lab automation will degrade with solvents. So we had to replace the materials 2/ Powders Every powder is different. How do you weigh different types of powders accurately? 3/ Miniaturization How do you precisely handle solvents and powders at a small scale so you can do high throughput experiments? 4/ Scale-Up How do you rapidly go from a small scale to a large scale without spending years optimizing the scale up process?

Decreasing waste is just good business. One of the often overlooked advantages of lab automation is the cost efficiency of decreased waste. With the ever-increasing cost of lab reagents, leveraging liquid handling or other automated solutions for expensive protocols can decrease costs in many ways, including: ✅ Decreasing random error ✅ Decreasing repeat experiments or protocols ✅ Allowing lab personnel to focus on other tasks Hudson Robotics has engineered a variety of robust lab automation and #liquidhandling solutions for labs of any size to decrease waste and increase efficiency and overall productivity. Our platforms can automate virtually any common lab protocol, from primary screens to flow cytometry to pH measurement. Contact our team to explore all the ways Hudson Robotics can improve lab productivity and your bottom line. #BioTech #LabEquipment

🌟#AirLevitated Ball #ControlSystem! 🌟 Working on this project has been an incredible learning experience. From delving into #SystemIdentification processes to implementing different #controllers from published papers, every step has been a fascinating challenge. #MATLAB & #Simulink have truly been the backbone of this endeavor. Exploring their support features has significantly streamlined this project, leaving me with ample time to focus on analysis and study rather than spending it on setting up. One highlight has been utilizing their Hardware Support Package for #Arduino and Control Toolbox, which has streamlined our development process immensely. Check out the video attached to see our system in action! 🎥 #Engineering #Innovation #Technology

The last in my mini series "My demo did work!" 🤣 This one shows the use of notifications to push data from TwinCAT to LabVIEW to provide data on an encoder feedback, the data rate can be much higher with this mechanism without the Req_Ack behaviour of the ADS poll read process. This means your application can gather more data, more efficiently and push into waveform charts etc. Then use polling to gather parameter type data, optimising the connection between Tc and LV. #twincat #labview #lastoneipromise #untilthenextone 🤣
