What a difference a year makes! February 1, 2023 was the day that my weekly 1:1 was actually a meeting with HR to terminate me due to a company reorganization. This past year had challenges. It also provided personal growth and ultimately my dream position as a full-time business faculty member at Penn State! For anyone blind-sided by a layoff, here are a few of my lessons learned: - Lean into your support system. Don't try to go it alone. Family, friends, former coworkers care about you. Don't be shy to ask for help. - Follow your passion. I had difficulty getting hired in my most recent industry. I was going for what was "safe", not necessarily what was my passion. I think it showed. - In your "free time" add something new. After my personal fitness journey I wanted to be a Certified Personal Trainer. I had the time to do that. Many thanks to my supporters! Here's to 2024 and beyond!

Reduce the stigma associated with asking for accommodations that help people with LTDs. 3. Provide even more tools and resources to help people with LTDs thrive. 4.
