Coaching apprentices to help businesses bridge the digital and AI skills gap • I also coach grassroots youth football • Author of "New Business, Next Steps."
Embarking on an apprenticeship is more than just acquiring new skills; it's also a voyage into the depths of their potential. 🌟 That is why it is so important to capture the motivations of each apprentice at the start, as a reminder for them during some of the more challenging moments. Upon asking my latest cohort of future leaders, here are a few of their motivations: 🚀 I do what I do because I am passionate about the power of paid social media advertising to help brands and businesses connect with their audience. 🚀 To be able to be a part of this ever-evolving industry and to express my passion for technology and creativity. 🚀 Having an impact on client success. 🚀 I like the idea of helping clients gain access to high-quality financial advice, in a way that makes it as accessible as possible. 🚀 Knowing that I can see how much of a positive impact that I make in people's lives. 🚀 To utilise my best qualities and skills in an industry I am interested in and want to grow in. 🚀 I'm passionate about reducing social injustice. 🚀 I am excited to learn new skills to help me in my job role to drive a positive impact in the business. This shouldn't just be read as a record of their motivations. These are also motivations for current leaders to inspire an answer to the question: ❓ Why wouldn't you want these hungry, driven minds working for and learning with you, adding business impact and a fresh perspective? #Apprenticeships #BusinessGrowth #GrowthMindset #Motivation

The Final Stretch: MBA Journey As I enter the last year of my MBA, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey so far. Balancing rigorous academics, internships, and projects has been a rewarding challenge. 💼📚 Here are some insights from the ride: Pressure is a Privilege: Deadlines, case studies, and group projects often feel like a burden, but they’re shaping me for the fast-paced corporate world. Networking is Gold: Beyond the classroom, connecting with peers, mentors, and industry leaders has been invaluable. Some of these conversations have opened doors I didn’t even know existed! Resilience is Key: It’s tough managing stress and expectations, but the sense of accomplishment with each completed task makes it all worth it. The Best is Yet to Come: With graduation on the horizon, I’m excited about the future opportunities, challenges, and growth. It’s the beginning of a whole new chapter. To my fellow final-year MBA students—let’s finish strong and keep pushing toward our goals! 🚀 #MBA #LastYear #FinalStretch #Growth #Networking #BusinessLeadership

Last week went by really quickly! Here are some highlights from the week of October 6 - October 13: 1. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: We wrapped up the Performance Management course with an interesting challenge: out of over 450 companies, we had to identify the best one to invest in. By applying the various financial ratios we learned in class, we narrowed down the list and ranked the top contenders, ultimately selecting our chosen company. 2. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: We had a valuable session with Andrea Zani, Head of Career Services, where we explored the intricacies of tailoring CVs for the Italian job market. Additionally, we discussed how Bologna Business School actively supports each MBA candidate in securing internships as part of the program. 3. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: I finally made it back to the gym after a couple of months of inconsistency due to travel. Along with working out, I've been creating some content around my fitness routine, which helps me stay motivated and maintain my mental well-being. I will leave with a quote by late Mr. Ratan Tata that resonates with me a lot, “𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴; 𝘐 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.” #MBA #BolognaBusinessSchool #LifelongLearning #FinancialAnalysis #LanguageLearning #Networking #ProfessionalDevelopment #StudentLife #CareerGrowth #BusinessEducation #DiversityInLearning #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #MBAJourney #NewBeginnings

Amidst the ‘Red Walls of Contradictions’ where limits do not count! I still remember the day I stepped into business school, eager to trade theory for practice. Almost 1.5 years flew by in a whirlwind of late-night group projects, grueling exams, transformative summer internships, and leadership roles that tested my mettle. My MBA journey began with a reality check: I wasn't the smartest person in the room. But I was determined to learn from everyone. Classmates from diverse backgrounds and industries broadened my perspective, challenging my assumptions and fueling my curiosity. As a member of the highly coveted Admissions Team, I faced a new challenge: delivering results under pressure. With the stakes at their highest, I learned to: - Manage conflicting priorities - Motivate teams towards a common goal - Make tough decisions with limited information - Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders But it was my Summer Internship that pushed me to my limits. Thrown into unknown places, surrounded by alien faces, I had: - No clear direction or guidance - No one to share my struggles or successes - No roadmap to success - Hundreds of diverse individuals to meet and learn from daily - Constantly adapting to new realities, challenges, and expectations It was tough. I felt stuck, lost, and uncertain. But in that chaos, I discovered: - Resilience: Bouncing back from setbacks and failures - Adaptability: Navigating uncertainty and ambiguity - Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and managing team dynamics - Decisiveness: Weighing options and making informed choices Through this journey, I delivered and implemented solutions that added long-term value to the organization. The sense of pride and accomplishment was overwhelming. Networking events turned into meaningful connections. I met professionals who shared their stories, failures, and successes. Their experiences became my lessons, shaping my leadership style and values. Through it all, I learned that: Maturity isn't measured by seniority; it's forged through experience. Growth happens outside comfort zones. Diversity is the greatest teacher. Resilience is the ultimate differentiator. My MBA journey hasn’t just been about academics; it has been a transformation. I discovered my potential, honed my skills, crafted my own recipe of surviving and thriving against all odds. #MBALife #LeadershipDevelopment #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalNetworking #Resilience #SelfAwareness #DiversityMatters #BusinessEducation #MaturityMatters #TransformativeJourney #StudentLeadership #CharacterBuilding #SummerInternship #ChallengingExperiences
