Hiring a developer doesn't always solve any problems. It can create more problems. If you airdrop someone into your company, do they know what to do? One of the hardest parts about development is ensuring you have the right product strategy, roadmap, and requirements for your team. Bringing in help without a map will leave them lost. You more likely have to hire expert consultants who can figure all that out with zero help.

TLDR - GovWell is hiring a Founding Engineer! When you think about government, what comes to mind? You probably remember a prolonged visit to DMV, or filling out your tax returns. You almost certainly don’t think of “efficiency” or “innovation.” For years, I helped my dad, a general contractor, to work with municipalities to get the permits necessary for his jobs. But getting permits over the finish line required constant phone calls, paperwork, and in-person visits. Why wasn’t there an easy way to handle the process online? It’s not for lack of caring. Dedicated public servants across 80,000+ cities, towns, and counties work tirelessly to serve their communities. But the software systems they rely on to deliver essential services are often 20+ years old and create unnecessary work. My co-founder Troy LeCaire and I started GovWell Technologies to build the software that public servants and citizens everywhere deserve. Software that is user-friendly, transparent, and saves time for everyone. When government gets the basics right — easing pain rather than frustrating — it helps repair the the trust necessary for a healthy democracy. In April, we raised $1 million to pursue this mission. In just 4 months of operating, we’ve seen amazing commercial traction, and went live with our first paying customer last week.
