Our business and personal lives are increasingly reliant on technology devices, and we are seemingly lost without our technology. This increases our demand for charging multiple devices almost on a daily basis. We are routinely charging devices at multiple locations - bedroom, living room, car, office, cafe etc etc. Charging is fast and easy. We should not overlook that we are typically charging lithium batteries, which need to be treated with respect. Do not ever charge a device sitting on your lovely soft duvet. The duvet envelopes the device and the results can be catastrophic, as evidenced by the video. Auckland home with a tablet left charging for the day on a duvet. Heat built up led to combustion, and a disaster. USB charging has become commonplace, and to mitigate risk, AB Electrical can add USB charging ports to double power points or add USB ports on a plate next to an existing power point.
