Did you know that the I&J Ocean Exhibit plays a central role in the work of our Turtle Conservation Centre? At any given time, at least one turtle can be seen in the I&J Ocean Exhibit. The exhibit only houses these turtles temporarily – they are there for a specific purpose: Rehabilitation. Their presence in the I&J Ocean Exhibit is part of a process called "soft release", in which the turtles become acclimatised to a bigger space before their eventual release into the ocean!
