With wind advisories throughout our area it is important to remember its impact on our Stormwater utilities. Stormwater BMPs manage runoff, but high winds pose an overlooked threat. Strong gusts can erode soil, displace sediment, damage vegetation, and even shift structural elements like grates and permeable pavement. Left unchecked, this reduces BMP effectiveness and increases maintenance costs. To build resilience, we need better soil stabilization, wind-resistant plantings, and post-storm inspections. Have you seen wind-related BMP damage? Let’s discuss strategies on how Oldcastle Infrastructure can help you plan for stronger, more durable stormwater infrastructure. #Stormwater #Infrastructure #Resilience #BMPs #Sustainability #oldcastle

Not to mention the 362,880 contiguous environmental condition and water level measurements taken in the preceding 21 months. Talk about an emerging data set for Artificial Intelligence applications in stormwater and groundwater management. P4 Infrastructure, Inc is building the internet of stormwater infrastructure and its dataset will be the basis for AI in stormwater management. DM me for more info. #groundwater #stormwater #AI #infiltration #digitalization
Did you know that infiltrating stormwater can earn you (or your client) groundwater recharge credits and/or rebates? Take a look at this nearly 2-year (and ongoing) study in Stockton, CA and contact P4 Infrastructure, Inc to see if your project qualifies. #stormwater #groundwater #infiltration #digitalization

Site visit with our Stormwater Engineer Yohanus Bogale at Coatesville-Riverhead Highway and Dairy Flat Highway Roundabout looking at our Filterra® and Cascade Separator™. This is treating the stormwater runoff from a very highly trafficked highway. The Cascade Separator™ is an innovative hydrodynamic separator that excels in sediment capture and retention while effectively removing hydrocarbons, litter, and debris from stormwater runoff. What sets the Cascade Separator™ apart is its utilization of opposing vortices, which significantly enhance particle settling, and a unique skirt design that facilitates sediment transport into the sump while minimizing turbulence and resuspension of previously captured material. Learn more about it here - https://lnkd.in/gZe2zDyu The Filterra® is the leading green infrastructure solution for stormwater treatment. This pre-engineered, plug-and-play micro biofiltration system removes a wide range of pollutants, including heavy metals, nutrients, fine sediment, dissolved contaminants, oil, TSS, and gross pollutants, using natural biological processes. A Baffled outlet structure (USBR VI stilling basin) is often used in hydraulic and fluid systems, such as stormwater management, drainage systems, or energy dissipation structures, to reduce the energy of flowing water and prevent erosion, scouring, or damage downstream. The primary function of the baffled outlet structure is to reduce the velocity and turbulence of the water exiting the system by using various baffles or barriers. This process is essential for ensuring that the discharge does not cause harm to the surrounding environment or infrastructure.
