Chrismukkah: A Magical Holiday Blend Last time it happened, it was in 2005, where the sunset of December 25 coincided with 25 Kislev, the first night of Hanukkah, creating an innovative holiday. The heartwarming blend of Christmas and Hanukkah is making a delightful appearance again this year, bringing us a perfect 2024 Chrismukkah, with Hanukkah beginning on December 25th - Christmas Day! While Christmas is celebrated on a fixed date, Hanukkah's timing varies with the lunar-based Jewish calendar, making these overlaps rare and precious. The next time we'll get to experience this special holiday convergence will be in 2027. So whether you're decorating in blue and silver or red and green, Chrismukkah offers a wonderful opportunity to embrace the joy and warmth of both traditions. It's a time when families can come together to share in the magic of the season, creating memories that sparkle as brightly as holiday lights. Merry Chrismukkah! 🕎 🎄

Merry Christmas everybody! For as long as I can remember, Christmas has been my favourite time of the year. It’s more than just the lights, the decorations, or the festive music—it’s the feeling of home, connection, sharing and enjoyment that Christmas creates. When I began my real estate journey, I realized how much this love for Christmas influenced my passion for helping others find the perfect home. I’ve always believed that a home is more than walls and a roof—it’s a canvas for cherished moments, like the corner where the Christmas tree will stand or the cosy nook perfect for family gatherings. Even when I visit properties, I instinctively imagine where the tree could go, where stockings might hang, or how the living room could glow with festive lights. This attention to detail goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about helping my clients envision the life they’ll create in their new space. Wishing you all a holiday season filled with love, laughter, great food and a place to call home! #RealEstate #PropertyInvestment #Spain #InvestmentStrategy #InvestSmart #ThePearlCompass #PropertyBuyer #RealEstateAdvice #BuyingProperty #RealEstateTips #RealEstateSpain #LuxuryRealEstateSpain #LuxuryRealEstate #RealEstateAgentSpain #RealEstateBuyersAgent #HomeForChristmas #ChristmasTraditions #FestiveHomes #DreamHome

The Most Popular Wedding Months - 2024 💍 September & October: Early fall offers a lovely transition from summer, with cooler temperatures and stunning fall foliage, particularly appealing for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Known for its crisp air and beautiful autumn colors, October provides a picturesque backdrop, especially for those who appreciate fall’s charm. May and June: These months are celebrated for their vibrant spring flowers and lush greenery. They mark the beginning of wedding season with warmer, but not overly hot, temperatures. From most popular, to least popular, January & February are known as some of the least popular months to tie the knot with frigid temperatures & harder travel playing a big part in that.

Christmas is a challenging time for many people and often we don't understand that the challenges aren't a revolt against the season so much as a challenge around what the season brings for the individual styles. C styles don't necessarily look forward to their entire family coming to stay and the mish mash of people all at their place, that can feel like chaos. I styles often love Christmas, and want the house glowing in all its festivities. To decorate every inch of the house is the goal of many an I style, and the C styles look at all the decorating and think it looks like "clutter" it messes with their orderly brain and makes it difficult for them to live in their own home. S styles want to ensure that everyone is happy and that the presents are fair for everyone and that all the food needs for everyone are catered for, their caring focus can make it exhausting. Does everyone have a comfortable bed and a present that will be meaningful for them? Their energy levels are really tested around all of the extra's that need to happen. D styles would like to be organising a productive and efficient season but there are curve balls going in every direction, their need to be agile and "let go" is really tested over this period of time. The plan is a great idea but may not all go according to the D styles preferences. When the plan is disrupted and the efficiencies they organised are messed with it can disturb them that what they meant to be organised and efficient has been messed up by others who couldn't organise themselves out of a paper bag! Christmas can be celebrated in an orderly way Christmas can be celebrated in a chaotic way Christmas can be celebrated in a last minute way Christmas can be celebrated with or without tinsel When you understand that behaviour comes from a person's style preferences and not from a particular desire to be difficult then as a family/couple/friend group maybe you can understand and show kindness and tolerance for the people that you normally love. I wish you all a kind holiday season 🎄✨ Marina Shearer

No festive season without decorations 🤩 Besides Xmas vibe playlists this is usually a big part of how people get into the holiday spirit. But did you know that when—and how—people decorate can vary widely from culture to culture? Let’s take a look at how different parts of the world approach this important part of the season: 🇵🇭 Philippines: Known for having one of the longest Christmas seasons, decorations in the Philippines often start as early as September (love it 😍 ) The highlight is the parol, a star-shaped lantern symbolizing the Christmas story and the triumph of light over darkness. It’s a beautiful tradition that brings warmth and joy to the season, even months before Christmas Day. 🇺🇸 United States and Europe: In many countries, families begin decorating with Christmas trees and lights in late November or early December. The festive spirit kicks off in the weeks leading up to Christmas, creating a sense of excitement and togetherness. But in places like Finland, the tradition of decorating often starts later, after St. Lucia’s Day (December 13), focusing on a more intimate, calm lead-up to Christmas. 🇲🇽 Mexico: In Mexico, festive decorations start during the Advent period and carry through to the New Year. Families celebrate with nativity scenes (Nacimiento) and piñatas, symbolizing joy, family, and community spirit. The decorations often reflect the strong cultural and religious ties that make Christmas in Mexico a deeply meaningful time. So , why am I sharing this post with you? For understanding the timing and style of decorations across cultures can help us navigate cross-cultural events, respect different traditions, and appreciate how others create festive atmospheres. Whether it’s the early start of the Philippines or the cozy Finnish Christmas, decorations are a universal sign of celebration—just celebrated at different times in different places! How do you decorate for the holidays? Does your tradition start early, or do you wait until closer to the big day? Share with me in the comments! 💬

Fun ideas for the Merry Christmas season 2024: Blindfold tree decorating: A great and creative twist to decorating your annual tree. A perfect way to break the ice and add in a spark to your festive celebration. Teams are made up of groups of two. While one group is blindfolded and another group hands a decoration. Yes often hilarious and unpredictable outcomes do happen. Secret Santa with a Twist: this will add in a delightful twist and extra sparkle to the festivities. Instead of the usual anonymous gift exchange, each participant must choose a gift that resonates with a memory or inside joke shared about with the recipient. This will turn the gift exchange into a delightful journey down memory lane.
