Founder/Clinical Director at Vermont Center for Responder Wellness, Winner of the 2018 EMDRIA Advocacy Award
The ASAP is an EMDR-based intervention transforming the approach to Peer Support. Developed by a police officer and field-tested for over six years, it reflects the input of hundreds of first responders, ensuring its relevance to their needs. The Continuum of Care model demonstrates that ASAP can serve as both a preventative tool for acute and traumatic stress and a post-critical incident intervention, effectively treating trauma without discussing the traumatic event itself. Discover how ASAP Peer Support Training can benefit your team.

It took over three years from the onset of Marcie McGregor’s symptoms to receive her PH diagnosis. After learning people don’t usually live that long without treatment, Marcie promised to say “yes" to any opportunity to help others, including becoming a PHA support group leader. “The reason I continue to volunteer as a leader are many such as, empowering patients with the information I wish I had right after diagnosis, being a part of the moment a patient realizes they aren't alone in this journey, being a safe place when it all gets to be too much, encouraging people with PH to see all of the good that's still there, and so much more.” Learn the benefits of becoming a support group leader and how to start a group in your area. https://ow.ly/onSe50Rjnzf
