Life is busy and particularly, at the moment, life can be hard. But we should take a moment this Sunday to pause and reflect, and to honour those who have given their lives…. ‘When you go home, tell them of us and say, for their tomorrow we gave our today.’ #legalcounsel #inhousecounsel #legaljobs #financialservicesjobs #talentaquisition #hrbusinesspartner

💼 Life Update: Two months ago, I was fired from a role at one of the agencies within the Schbang network. Fun fact: I’m still waiting on my last paycheck. 🤷♂️ It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions—frustration, disappointment, and a lot of reflection. But through it all, I’ve been reminded of my resilience and the strength that comes from navigating challenges. I’m sharing this because I know I’m not alone—many of us have faced similar situations. If you’ve been through something like this, how did you handle it? And to those who’ve supported me, your encouragement means the world. Onward and upward! 🚀 #CareerJourney #Resilience #LifeUpdate #CareerGrowth #WorkplaceChallenges #JobLoss #CareerTransition #MentalHealth #SupportEachOther #ProfessionalJourney #CareerResilience #JobHunt #MovingForward #marketingagency #LaborRights #EmployeeRights #WorkplaceJustice #FairWork #LegalRights #WorkersRights #EmploymentLaw #WorkplaceEthics #KnowYourRights #LaborLaw #LegalAdvocacy #EmployeeAdvocacy #WageJustice #FairPay

Your company is not your family. Your boss isn't your parent. Your colleagues aren't your siblings. After you resign, most colleagues will disappear, with only a few staying as friends. Treat work as work. Respect professional relationships, but don't mix emotions. Ask for a raise when deserved, seek promotions when it's time, and call out toxicity when you see it. Move on when you need to. Don't replace your family with your company. #Corporatelife #Corporate #Realityofcorporatelife

2nd year law Student at University of South Wales with a main interest in criminal law and potentially teaching others about it.
Third day at #coburnandrees has been very insightful in many different ways. This morning we received a client call where we needed to remain professional and ensure that we stayed accurate as well as ensuring no legal advice was given as we were on reception duty. This client call showed me that I am not very confident in myself and upon looking through the feedback I can see this is my biggest let down. I remained professional during the call and knew all the right things to say but just having low confidence really pulled me down. This afternoon we explored EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) in the workplace. Our directors Hannah Coburn and Julia Rees showed us many different ways the workplace can try and inform their employees about EDI and promotes that even though someone may have a disability does not make them any less able, in fact it may allow them to shed a different light on matters. It's shown that happy workers are more likely to produce more and better work than those unhappy at work, with the university of Oxford stating those who are happy at work are 13% more productive than those who are not. I found this meeting very informative as more and more companies are building this into there everyday work life. After this we were to attend a crisis meeting where client letters had not been completed. Julia Rees showed us how to mail merge letters to effectively created 200 letters. As I had never done this before I was quite nervous however with the guidance I found this quite easy to do and very time effective. If I ever need to produce a mass amount of letters I will definitely be using this. I look forwards to the fourth and final day of #coburnandrees tomorrow where we will be based on campus. #uswlaw #uswplacement

We address social responsibility by starting with each individual that is apart of the company. By being fully vigilant and honest with each individual who is apart of the company. One of your role as a employee with us is to represent the company in every format no matter where life may take you. Here it is about being a family and a team. If one sink that its a possibility that, that entire sector will suffer before they regain leverage above water. In your display of functionality and co-existing in society with those you come in contact with, you as a individual need to keep a standard about yourself and how you present yourself in order to give the same representation for this company.

This month at Vensure Employer Solutions, we are highlighting #Motivation! All people experience fluctuations in their motivation. Sometimes you feel like you are ready for anything and driven to reach your #goals. Other times, you might feel unsure of what you want or how to achieve it. Tip for improving motivation - Adjust your goals to focus on things that really matter to you. By focusing on things that are highly important will help push you through your #challenges more than any goal based on things that are low in importance. A startup twist to the same perspective... Your company is A LOT like your family. Your boss isn’t just a “boss”— they’re like an elder sibling, a mentor, a coach. Your colleagues are much more than just co-workers. They’re your thought partners, sparring partners, your go-to rant buddies, your safe space. Quitting or moving on isn’t an easy decision, especially when you’ve helped build the very culture the startup stands on. There’s a personal connection to each idea, project, and task that you’ve worked on. It takes a village to build something special from the ground up. Who you have accompanying you on this journey holds immense value — both to you and the end outcome you’re striving to achieve. No, you don’t replace your existing family with your company — but there’s no harm in adding to the lot. Grateful for the team we have, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the ups and downs we’ve faced and overcome, together. There’s a lot you gotta give, but the trade-off in terms of learning, upskilling, and growth is rarely ever unfair. #startuplife Alt Academy

Business professional relationship should be void of emotions. The earlier we all come to terms with this… the better!. However, majority ain’t ready for this conversation. Can this be loud enough for those at the back?. Your family is irreplaceable however, you can always replace your job or your job may ultimately replace you should anything happen while your family will not. Let that sink for a moment! #family #corporatelife #businessrelationship #work

In the modern workplace, it's essential to recognize that while professional relationships are important, they should not be equated with familial bonds. Your company is not a family, but rather an organization with its own goals and dynamics. Your boss, though a significant figure in your career, is not a parent and should not be expected to provide emotional support or guidance beyond the professional realm. Similarly, your colleagues are not your siblings; they are teammates with their own roles and responsibilities. Maintaining these boundaries helps foster a healthy, respectful work environment and ensures that professional relationships remain constructive and focused on shared goals.
