🚑 An important question with a life-saving answer! In short - YES. If you're experiencing symptoms of anaphylaxis, even if they start to improve after using an epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen), it's vital to seek medical attention immediately. Here's why: 1️⃣ Monitoring vital signs: Healthcare professionals can monitor your condition, including blood pressure and oxygen levels, to detect any underlying issues or complications. 2️⃣ Additional treatment: Hospital care may involve further interventions to manage lingering symptoms. 3️⃣ Peace of mind: Seeking medical help ensures you receive the best possible care and reassurance during a alarming experience. Remember, it's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to anaphylaxis. Don't hesitate to go to the hospital for proper treatment. Today is Stop the Bleed Day, an internationally recognized campaign to stimulate awareness around haemorrhage control and ensuring more people are trained in the skills required to stop the bleed. Traumatic bleeding is one of the leading causes of deaths across the globe, these deaths could potentially be prevented if more people understood the techniques and the importance of stemming traumatic blood loss. TraumaSim pride themselves on delivering dynamic training aids, not only that look real but training aids that actually bleed and then stop bleeding once the tourniquet has been applied or wound packing has been completed correctly. How do you know you have the required skills if the training aid does not react? Members of the public are often first on scene at traumatic events, are you prepared, confident and competent? Do you know how to Stop the Bleed? On this important Stop the Bleed Day, we ask you to consider your current level of training and maybe it is time to refresh your first aid skills by finding a qualified trainer delivering haemorrhage control training with world class TraumaSim training aids. #raiseyourhand #stopthebleed #stopthebleedday #haemorrhagecontrol #tourniquettraining #woundpacking

Director/ Trainer at KUSAB Training & Consultancy Ltd and Global Safeguarding Coordinator at MAG. International Safeguarding MSc (ongoing)
When you teach life saving skills in Algeria and then years later receive feedback like this. Without this training it could have been a different outcome
International Security and Justice Consultant & Trainer / Assessor / IQA / MSc Counter-Terrorism (ongoing)
It’s always nice to get positive feedback about training you delivered but even more amazing when that feedback tells you it helped save a life. The student in question was on one of our courses in Algeria in 2019 where we delivered a bespoke first aid and trauma care course. Last year whilst at home he fell into a window and cut through an artery in his arm. The subsequent haemorrhage could have been fatal but he stayed calm and remembered his training. He applied direct pressure and then talked a family member through creating an improvised tourniquet which stopped the bleeding until he could get medical help. To know that what we taught him was effective and likely lifesaving is fantastic feeling and shows how simple skills and interventions can make a huge difference. Might be worth asking yourself would I know what to do if it happened to me or someone I care about or even a stranger. If not perhaps its time to invest your time into learning how. #simpleinterventions #lifesavingskills #traumatraining
