#INTERACTEUROPE100 in Ukraine 🇺🇦 European Cancer Organisation is playing an active role helping Ukrainian institutions and stakeholders involved in cancer care gain access to much needed EU funding and INTERACT-EUROPE 100 is a clear example of that, with two Ukrainian partners participating. As some of you may know, ECO and our American colleagues at ASCO have established a Special Network on the Impact of the War in Ukraine on Cancer, identifying and sharing information, programmes, materials, and resources to help maintain vital cancer care for Ukrainians. Our objective throughout is to make a real difference for Ukrainian cancer patients. As Ukraine continues to bravely resist Russian aggression, I hope you never forget... the European Cancer Organisation stands with you. #INTERACTEUROPE #EU4Health #Ukraine

💙Meet Prof. Eric Solary, Coordinator of the UNderstand CANcer (UNCAN.eu) Initiative who is also a member of our Advisory Board! Prof. Solary shares his thoughts on #4PCAN: "I think the 4P-CAN project has a lot of excellent initiatives and it will answer one of the very important questions we had in the UNCAN project – how we can solve the issue of inequalities and inequities in cancer prevention? Having such strong initiatives in Romania and Bulgaria – i.e. the Living-labs – will provide us with many insights into how to improve cancer prevention, but the learnings could be extrapolated to also early diagnosis, treatment and overall management." The European Commission celebrated some of the achievements from Europe's Beating Cancer Plan over the last four years earlier this week. The goal remains the same, to reduce #inequity in #cancercare across Europe, through prevention and early detection. Great to see colleagues Prof. Iwona Lugowska, MD, PhD, Jesus Garcia-Foncillas López, and Ebba Hallersjö Hult amongst the participants in Brussels. #Precisionmedicine is central to the Digital Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research's strategic goals. Quality of care improvements pass for training (see https://lnkd.in/enyevpG8) and access to #RWD across countries (our federated approache is outlined here https://lnkd.in/ePyKSiHG). Let's continue to work towards reducing the 2.7 million cancer diagnosed annually in Europe. #EUCancerPlan #WorldCancerDay #precisionmedicine #cancerresearch

Learn. Test. Come-back" this webinar features Prof. Françoise Meunier, along with Prof. Christine Chomienne and Prof. Mark Lawler. Register now! 👉 https://lnkd.in/dMSTjEwB The right to be forgotten has been one of the European Commission’s priorities in the Beating Cancer Plan, as part of the objective of improving the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, and carers. Numerous cancer survivors in long-term remission receive unfair access to financial services hence, it is important that communities across all MS/AC work together to change that scenario.
