🏃New Year, New Heights!     2025 kicked off its first #verticalmarathon last Saturday at the Ping An Financial Center, Shenzhen, China, the 5th tallest building in the world. More than a thousand tower runners from worldwide raced to climb the 599-meter 3,201-step #skyscraper, where they would be rewarded with breathtaking views of the #GreaterBayArea from the 116th floor.    Co-hosted by the Shenzhen Government and Ping An, endorsed by the Tower Running World Association, the race witnessed record-breaking performances. 🏆Ryoji Watanabe from Japan claimed the men’s championship in 19.24 minutes, setting a new record for the Ping An Financial Center Vertical Marathon. Tea Faber from Croatia took the women’s championship with a time of 22.44 minutes, while Chinese athletes Fei Huang and Qing Zhu secured second and third places.    🌍The vertical marathon has attracted marathon champions from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai as well as top-ranked runners from countries including Slovakia, Italy, Australia, Malaysia, and Japan. Teams from Shenzhen’s public security, traffic police and fire departments joined the race, alongside over 30 running groups from Guangdong province, Hong Kong, and Macau.   🏙️Since its inception in 1978, vertical marathons have become a global phenomenon, transforming world landmarks like the Empire State Building, Sydney Tower, and the Eiffel Tower into tower runners’ racetracks.    Here’s to a year of #growth and reaching new #heights📈   Watch the video to relive the exciting moments of the race.

It's no secret that the best kept secret of Japan is the Nakasendo Highway. Long considered the 'hime <princess> kaido', The Nakasendo was the fastest and surest way to send messages, valuables (including the above mentioned Princesses) from Kyoto to Edo and vice versa for almost 300yrs! That's alot of travelers and alot of history underfoot. Our meticulous routing gets it straight. Sure, the exact locations may not be archeologically perfect - but we are constantly checking and cross checking to peel back these fine layers of Japanese history and markers. Here's a small example of the main route that we've added the Postal Town central markers. 69 stations of the Nakasendo. In English. Easy to access and easy to route. Best way to experience this? No doubt it's a bike. More on that later. Riding the Nakasendo just got a little easier. Thailand's upcoming Southeast Asian Games this December will showcase both Street and Park skateboarding disciplines, marking an important milestone for the sport in the region. The recent MASS Singapore competition has emerged as a key qualifying event, with several national sports bodies using its results to evaluate and select their development and national teams. While Indonesian athletes secured podium positions, promising talents from Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore made their mark in the intermediate categories. Looking ahead, these emerging talents will vie for medals at the Bangkok Games but also shape the competitive landscape for future SEA Games, rotating to Malaysia and Singapore in 2027 and 2029 respectively.
