A basic lesson about SLICE down the line backhand. You can see in this video the common mistake to turn too much the shoulders. Slice is a shot that can create crucial advantage in to the modern tennis because breaks the opponent rhythm. Most of the players used to play the slice in few tactical situations but the real opportunities are more. Concrete difficulties come from the habit of playing 2 hands backhand and it’s not mentally easy to switch in a one hand shot. Even in the attacks to the net is very common to see players do it with a top spin or flat backhand In many cases a slice could be more efficient if played in the right spot of the court where the passing shot could have been few and tough geometries solutions. Last several statistics show the high percentage of winning points for the player that hit a backhand slice.
