We’re wrapping up the week with another spotlight on one of our amazing interns! Today we’re welcoming back Nina Lieu, who recently earned her Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering at Virginia Tech and will soon be working toward her Master of Engineering degree in management systems engineering. Nina is happy for the opportunity to see her managers and mentors again—we’re sure they’re thrilled to have her back! During her second summer with us, she hopes to build more confidence in a management role. Fun fact about Nina: She can type out 197 countries in five minutes off the top of her head! That’s impressive! Welcome back, Nina—we are excited to work with you again! #ArcfieldInterns #SummerInternship #WeAreArcfield

Intern Spotlight! ✨ Name: Denaria Phillips What school do you attend? I go to Georgia Southern University and am in my Junior Year. How did you find your internship here at Ruby-Collins? I found Ruby at a Georgia Southern STEM Fair. Why did you choose a major/internship in the construction industry? I chose an internship in the construction industry because I can put some of my engineering knowledge into real-world practice. I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to get hands-on experience and see how different parts of engineering and other trade skills come together to create big projects. I believe this experience will be beneficial in the future no matter what field I might enter post-college! What do you do outside of school for fun? In my spare time, I like to play video games and read books. I am quite active in my church's youth ministry, so I am always helping plan and execute events there as well. What is your favorite part of your internship so far? My favorite part has been learning the managerial side of things in the field. The longer I am here, I see how a construction project progresses well only when there is good upper management overseeing every division and keeping track of their needs and efficiency. What was your childhood dream job? I really didn't have one, but I briefly wanted to be a pediatrician. An obvious change of heart happened during my teen years because I then wanted to be an engineer. #TeamWork #RubyCollins #Georgia #Intern #Internship #ApplyOnline

🌟 Intern Spotlight: Meet Phoebe Ellis! 🌟 We just caught up with Phoebe, one of our talented summer interns working out of our corporate office. Here’s what she shared: 🔹 About Phoebe: "I'm interning with the R&D department at the corporate office. I recently completed my second year at Georgia Tech, majoring in Civil Engineering. I’m also from Atlanta, Georgia." 🔹 Internship Experience at Schnabel: "My internship at Schnabel has been great! Everyone is kind and willing to share their knowledge. I’ve enjoyed visiting job sites, applying classroom knowledge, and working with fellow interns. I’ve been involved in micropile load tests at M&T Bank Stadium, job support for SOMOS and Eccles, and R&D projects like analyzing waterfront tiebacks, concrete maturity, and deflection of a hanging mast. This experience has been eye-opening and shaped my future career goals." 🔹 Most Important Lesson Learned: "The most important lesson I’ve learned so far is that it’s okay to ask questions or ask for help. I’m halfway through college, so I still have a lot to learn. Everyone at Schnabel is a great resource, and I need to take advantage of all the knowledge they have." 🔹 Free Time Fun: "I really enjoy being outside in the sun, whether hiking, running, or sitting in a park reading a book. I also love traveling, exploring new cities, and thrifting and sewing clothes." #InternSpotlight #SchnabelCareers #PrincipledProven
