Meet Josh Dove! Recently, Josh completed a leadership internship with Madiston Powertel, and we sat down with him to learn about his experience. Here are some of his highlights. Question: What is the biggest lesson you learned during your time at Madiston PowerTel Inc.? Answer: “The biggest lesson I learned at Madiston Powertel is that quality work will take you a long way. Whether that is in the office or in the field, doing the little things right and going above and beyond will put you above other companies and competitors and that can be shown all throughout Madiston PowerTel.” Question: Do you have any lasting pieces of advice that you learned from your time at Madiston Powertel Inc.? Answer: “A piece of advice I learned during my time with Madiston Powertel is to double-check your work and always to keep learning about the trade. It changes each and every day so there is always something to learn.” Question: Would you recommend doing an internship with Madiston PowerTel to other college graduates? Answer: Yes, I would 100% recommend other students to intern with Madiston PowerTel. I was able to learn all about the management side of an electrical company and grow my knowledge of the trade of working out in the field. Our time with Josh was an absolute joy, and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to invest in his future. Madiston PowerTel strives to create a working environment filled with educational opportunities for all of our employees, no matter their age or how long they have been with us. As Josh said, the electrical industry is ever-changing, and we are ready to learn and adapt to whatever may arise. #internship #intern #education #growth #growthmindset

Intern Spotlight: Jude Dierker, industrial engineering Jude conducted an internship at the Connor Group this summer. We asked him a few questions about his internship and what he learned throughout the summer. "Getting an internship as early as possible in your college career is super important because the four or five years go by fast, and soon we will need to be ready for life after college," Jude said. "I have learned that Mizzou has prepared me well for the real world, [and] that education doesn’t end when we leave school but that it has only really just begun, which is exciting because I enjoy learning how to improve my skills." We are excited to begin our TEX-E Intern Spotlight Series!🌟 Over the next few weeks we will be introducing students participating in TEX-E's summer internship program which pairs students with different Greentown Labs climatetech startups, where they gain hands-on experience working in the energy transition. Meet Justin Xia from Rice University! Justin is working as a Mechanical Design Intern at Capwell Services.🛠️🏢 🦅 Fun fact: Justin is an Eagle Scout! Here are some lessons he has learned in his first month of the internship: "The most significant lesson I've learned during my internship is the importance of communicating progress and challenges to my supervisors. This has shown me that the climate tech industry is filled with people who are not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply committed to supporting each other and advancing environmental solutions." "Working at Capwell Services has made me realize that companies can thrive with very small teams, and that progress is achieved incrementally, day by day. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, especially since the climate tech sector challenges many established industry practices that are difficult to change. It has shaped my understanding of entrepreneurship by highlighting the resilience and persistence needed to drive innovation and sustainability in a rapidly evolving and demanding field."

At Reata Engineering, we’re always looking forward. There’s no such thing as “good enough” at our Colorado machine shop—as soon as we get comfortable, we ask ourselves what we can do next. This mentality is central to everything we do, from maintaining a summer internship program to giving shop tours to competing precision machine shops (yes, you read that right). In the years of putting our shop out there and chasing the next evolution of manufacturing technology, we’ve realized something fundamental about our industry: The growth of the contract manufacturing industry requires participation from every machine shop—including yours.
