In preparation for the 2025 Jubilee Year, Pope Francis designated 2024 as a Year of Prayer, dedicated “to rediscovering the great value and absolute need for prayer, prayer in personal life, in the life of the Church, prayer in the world.” Effective evangelization requires prayer at its core. Prayer nourishes our faith and at the same time helps us grow in holiness. Consider making a gift to help us draw more people into, or deeper into, the Catholic faith: https://lnkd.in/g2eMmXRf

One of our primary goals when sending missionaries is to honor each individual. 💛 We do this by acknowledging that it is God who calls His workers, and He has given them each unique giftings, purposes and passions. Instead of telling our missionaries where or how to share the gospel, we work with them to determine their specific calling and walk alongside them to build them up and equip them to GO. Are you ready to take the next step into your calling? 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/gpFJWFSp

What are some elements of healthy Great Commission participation? * Worship - Zeal for God’s glory, inviting the nations to join us in worship (Psalm 96) * Compassion - Soft hearts toward a broken world that needs Jesus. (Matt. 9:36-38; Rom. 9:1-3) * Conviction - Belief that Jesus is the only way of salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12) * Awareness - More than 7,000 people groups have little to no access to the gospel, so the task is urgent (Rom. 10:14-15) * Confidence - We go accompanied by the reigning King who will build his Church (Matt. 16:18, 28:18-20) * Vision - Practical pathways to participation are clear (Phil. 1:5; 3 John 6-7) Which might be lacking in your life?

**Things that Don't Change - 2023 to 2024 Crossover -Pastor Francis Madojemu** In this message, Pastor Francis Madojemu shares some insights on how to maintain a right relationship with God and experience His presence and power in the new year. He emphasizes the importance of having a clean heart and a right spirit, and not breaking fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He also tells a story of how Kenneth Hagin learned to minister with what he had, instead of trying to imitate Katherine Khulman. He encourages the listeners to be authentic and faithful to their calling and gifts, and to trust God to do great things through them. He talks about the importance of sowing in the land, not just in the church, and trusting God to multiply what we give. He also challenges the listeners to put God first in everything, and not to depend on human beings or circumstances. He shares a personal story of how he learned to prioritize his family and his quiet time with God, even when he was busy with church work. He concludes by inviting the listeners to make a commitment to God and to receive His blessings. Here is a list of key points and principles that the message covers, especially the things that don't change: - God is the one who does not change, and He is the one we should build our plans around. - Having a clean heart and a right spirit is essential for enjoying God's salvation and joy. - The Holy Spirit is our helper and guide, and we should not take Him for granted or break fellowship with Him. - We should minister with what we have, and not try to imitate others or be someone we are not. - We should sow in the land, not just in the church, and trust God to multiply what we give. - We should put God first in everything, and not depend on human beings or circumstances. - We should listen to God's instructions and stop trying to do things because everybody is doing them. - We should make a commitment to God and receive His blessings. If you've ever been looked down on or discriminated against because of your age, you know how much that hurts. Churches have an incredible opportunity to be a unique place where people of all ages are treated with love and respect regardless of age. We are part of God's huge family, and we can learn from and encourage people of every generation. Here's the September 30 devotional from my "Next Step Devotions" book, based on 1 Timothy 5:1-2. https://lnkd.in/eUVKvXTH
